Watched this review today after buying my Hybrid yesterday! And am so happy to see you are as enthusiastic about it as I am, and I only have driven a testdrive for approx 10 minutes or so :D .. Only a couple of days left before its on the driveway!! Cant wait to drive it daily!
Had my Hybrid 2 weeks and love it. I changed my twin air 3 years ago for a Nissan and missed the 500 so much, I got a new one as soon as I could. Great car!
thank you because I am 39 years old and I am thinking to go for it ...trading in my Genesis for it..because I don't need a car anymore lol thank you for your comment
@@lu-bk7oo Hi I go by the engine, speed and what the road is like. Eg if you are on a steep hill it might be saying to change up a gear but it will then struggle so no I don’t really go by the shift light. 😊
I got 10k miles on it and still love it.amazing, fun, good for city and even 400+ km rides, apple carplay works well, and most of all it doesnt break my bank.
I love my Fiat 500, 2018, but I want a new hybrid; so, thanks for this encouraging encomium! I'm an old guy, so It's never seemed a DLGC to me...simply one of the best cars I've ever owned. I'm glad you find the Hybrid so good.
Best Down To Earth Car Review Ever Watched . Fun to watch really enjoyed . Nice one AJ ! Love it … BTW decided after this to buy the car . So FIAT owe you one.
Cheers A J. I traded my big petrol guzzling ford for a 19 plate new Panda. Had it 2 years and was given a trade in value of only about £1500 pounds less than I payed for it new against a new 500 lounge. I just love the 500. It puts a smile on my face every time. Not run in fully yet and 56 mpg.
The key thing for motoring in GB is a compact car with good economy and good ride. 0-60 is irrelevant to skilled drivers. The Fiat 500 is one of very few cars that are really up to the job.
It just celebrated its one year of existence, and the consumption I get on it goes anywhere between 3.9 to 4.6 l/100 km (61 and 72 miles per gallon) so it seems I get it to even more economical levels than the great ones you report in this video. It's very good fun to drive, I love it. As for the boot, I've transported tons of ridiculous stuff like a push bike (taking the front wheel off, it goes in nicely!), huge flat pack furniture boxes (without needing to leave the boot or panoramic roof open!), an electric heater, not to mention bags of garden waste, suitcases for travel. Everything fits in that boot. My only small concern is that it's not very powerful to overtake cars on the road so I really tend to hesitate & making sure I've got enough room to move back into the lane. It does a useful thing too: little up/down arrows pop up on the screen when it's ready to change gear and save even more petrol. I'm a very happy customer
My wife is demanding one of these, swapped her F55 mini Cooper S for a Porsche Boxster while going through a mid life crises, thing is she's had mini's before but just didn't like that one, she always said it was like driving a Mini shapes BMW. I think this vid sold her completely.
I think this is one of the few honest FIAT reviews! The British motoring press hate FIAT & all Italian cars, they knock at least one star off just because its not JLR, Ford or VW Group, so its great that you enjoyed this.
I also have one and I'm middle aged. Its my 3rd fiat in life and I love it. ? I am trying to figure out what the road tax is going to be this year. Mine is a 2020 mild hybrid star and I'm finding different prices for the road tax. Great fun video, shows the fun side. Thanks
Great video but sadly outa my price range that's why I opted for a 2 yo twin air 85hp which I get 57.5 Mpg (60% on motorways) The first thing i bought from the Wheelshop ( Which has a Dot com in the title ) was a second hand never been use spacesaver, new jack and wheel brace for £52 inc next day delivery
I'm thinking of getting this car next month. Its 30 min drive to work, & part of that is on a road going 60 mph. I would have to make this trip there and back. Would you say this is a suitable car for making such a trip 3 times a week? And what would you say about day trips, driving a few miles far away somewhere? I noticed you said a typical driver of this car wouldn't be going long distances. & could you tell me about the sound of the exhaust? You mentioned something about that at 12.07 thanks. Sorry I know your video is aimed at men but I still enjoyed your review
I like the material on the seat, I am about buy model 2013 lounge, I found one piece, but seat are I don't what is it, but its the only thing that put me off. I will see if I get over that, otherwise its nice car with rare colour light brown
I rented this car in Spain last week. I couldn't get it under 5.2 l/100km. My larger 2017 Fiat tipo diesel runs at 5. To be honest I couldn't feel any difference coming from the hybrid system. Battery full or empty, car was equally slow :))
I would like to know why fiat 500 models 10 years old even older cost on tax 30£ a year and new Fiat goes on tax from 160£ higher. I would expect new better engine will make less mess so tax will be same or less?????
The quality of the camera/video itself isn't very good, is it. It's like a game where they forgot to put in anti-aliasing. "jaggies" everywhere. I'm guessing it's been processed the wrong way as budget level smartphones can shoot better footage than this :/ Prime example of when it doesn't matter a video is 1080p, the quality is like a 360p video. I'd suggest doing some tests with different settings, it'll improve your (other wise very good!) reviews a ton.
This is the one car I would drive into the sea. I just hate this french car with a passion infact I hate all french cars all utter rubbish not worth a penny. Apart from Farrari as they are Italian with that stunning V12.
Oh how embarrassing when you make such a fundamental mistake in public and with such "passion". Must make you feel stupid (setting aside the irrational and misguided prejudice against French cars)
@@UKMike2009 I have owned a French car so I speak from experience I’m just not a fan and yes Farriers are French and I love the brand but would never own such a car as I simply can’t afford the price tag and are known for having flat batteries when left for a few days unless you consistently have them on a trickle charger 24/7.
I bought this exact car (same color, similar trim) a year ago. I completely agree, it’s a great little car, and it’s genuinely fun to drive!
I bought mine in the same "epic blue" colour as well. It's gorgeous. It does scratch easily though I gotta say

Thanks for the comment appreciated
I have one and it’s the most fun car I have ever owned and driven and I agree it’s really comfortable - not just a DLGC! 😊
Thanks for the comment

Hello!May l please ask you a question, do you use the shift Gear on the display,or do you listen to the engine? Thank you

Bought my fiat 500 hybrid 2022 a few months ago really like it .only thing I noticed is there is no cloth covering under the bonnet is this normal.
I got 10k miles on it and still love it.amazing, fun, good for city and even 400+ km rides, apple carplay works well, and most of all it doesnt break my bank.
Great comment thanks
I have the car now for 5 weeks. Love it. For the CarPlay I have to plug in. Works it either Bluetooth?? Can you help me with this?

I’ve just got the Launch Edition mild Hybrid and I love it so so much 😁 it’s my second 500 👍
Absolutely brilliant review as always

I just bought one just like that and I love it

You give the best most common sense reviews on RUclips. Brilliant job as always
Had a twin air loved it sorry I sold it could go back to a 500 in a heartbeat 💗

My Lupo has a very little shelf as well but it’s tight tight and don’t rattle
Had a test drive in the 500c today. I bought one.

5:26 Ehhh, you've forgot to put the seat back to judge the leg space.. Saying there is plenty of leg space in the back of a fiat 500 is a joke..

You do realise it is an italian car and not french!,they are built in Poland and Mexico. And it’s Ferrari.
Was hoping somebody would comment
It's ITALIAN.
