Luck tanapah, They never show the part when, Ramano was fighting, I think it was, Shortcut, and, in-between rounds he was reading a comic book & telling his corner man, "fix my hair!, cause, he was 'whippin' that a$$ without, breaking a sweat. P.s. that scene played in the movies 1992, when, I saw it, in, #PhillyPa., but, every time it plays, I haven't seen it since, must be in the 'directors cut.
@Tamer Ciftci it's the same composer Brad Fiedel, he also did the music for Fright Night (the original not the remake) another great 80's movie if you've not seen it 👍
I always liked how he doesn’t have faith in Tommy & didn’t think that he would last too long in the ring with Black Death let alone win at first and then starts helping him when he sees him putting up a good fight
I love this movie, I found it on Netflix in like 6th grade. I’m a sophomore in college now and it’s still awesome. It would’ve been way better if they actually had Tommy fight Lincoln than fight horn because it’s hard to get excited watching a 20 year old whoop 60 year old.
Nah. The narrative of the movie imo was that a white guy and black guy come together as friends, as brothers. The narrative of Tommy beating horn gives it a better answer to that rather than them fighting it out, plus knowing Tommy would rather die than risk paralyzing Lincoln from hitting him in the head was hit alot deeper once Lincoln realized this causing him to stop too, Lincoln would do anything for his family but his true morals of a good person showed in that scene, for both of them. I think it was the best scene in the movie.
Is it just me or does "Black Death" really looks like he knows what he's doing. No way in HELL would I face that guy's *first*, let alone *last* punch. Tommy, you're tough and all, but.... if this wasn't a movie. Holy. Sh!t.
Cool to se Brian Dennehy as villian, like in Rambo first blood , same year 1992 the movie F/X2 also starring Brian was released , all though here he is the good guy :-) Gladiator 92 should have had so much more attention , really good movie , but the title is confusing Gladiator 2000 was damn good and alot dont remember this if the word Gladiator is said
I agree with you that they are loading up on the punches. But that's the only thing that's not realistic. Holyfield hit Foreman with a 21 punch combination with mostly power punches--- that NEVER happens. Foreman took the punches and he was the one chasing down Holyfield the end. Same with Ward vs. Gatti. You could even say Ali vs. Frazier 3. Or Holyfield vs. Bowe 1. Real boxing matches do turn into brawls. The biggest difference is that actors load up on punches. Boxers keep their punches short. Which is why I couldn't stand Mark Wallberg doing "looping" punches portrary Ward.
@@arnolddonaldson7129 And this fight reminds of the real dead Evander Holyfield when is really hurt and hit the canvas and gets back up to turn the table's like true Gladiator warrior in his fights with Bert cooper and war's with Riddick Bowe and Micha dokes Something tyson just doesn't have will power to get of the canvas and win a fight
What a shitty trainer Black Death had. Yeah, sure, Black Death was sort of like a villain or something, but damn, he'd have been better off without that trainer. Also, at least most of the boxers in the Diggstown movie and in the Rocky movies cared about the rules, and so did the referees.
I love this movie very underrated movie

Almost the same music score as Terminator 2! Was still pretty good in the recent Twin Peaks! Always like that actor James.
I heard that lol
Oh I found out it’s the same composer as T1/2. He’s borrowing from himself :).
*punches referee*
"You're a natural, kid!"
I thought he was gonna lay his trainer out next accidentally lmao
Boxing refs are d bags
@@TheSkateDemons Lol, as funny as that would have been, I bet he would have ducked under it since he already saw him deck the ref.
Plot twist, few years after,Tommy moves to Russia to train better and change his name to Ivan Drago

No fair, Tommy has little Mac's trainer in his corner.
Needed that chuckle during Corona days. TY
Join the Nintendo fun club today, mac!
Find me a guy who says "All right!" better than Robert Loggia and I'll shut my mouth.
You've only just made me realise how well he says that line.
He's in that movie Necessary Roughness (1994) I think. Brings that same energy.
I always liked how he doesn’t have faith in Tommy & didn’t think that he would last too long in the ring with Black Death let alone win at first and then starts helping him when he sees him putting up a good fight

Chris Vatalaro many 60 year olds could stomp many 20 year olds!
Brian Dennehy is 54 in this one
