Alan Mills Thanks. What I should’ve done with this video was split it into one video per day, but I didn’t think of that at the time hence it’s nearly an hour and a half!
Great video and really nice camera shots! Could you imagine doing this with the nearby Corris Railway too? It isn't as long but it does have a steam locomotive ;)
This visit in 2016 was my first ever “good go” at the TR. What I mean by that is I walked virtually the full length of the line filming as I went. The section I couldn’t really do was Tywyn Wharf to Pendre because it’s in a cutting and not very accessible. This video is my most popular.
A highlight of my summer holiday, aged 8, in 1952 was a trip on this line. I think it was just their second season. I loved it for its small scale and it’s quaint engine. Of course, all the railways were steam then.
Thanks for the positive comments. Glad you liked the video. I apologise for not responding sooner. For some odd reason I don’t always get an alert when a comment is added to a video. If you were eight in 1952 you’re old enough to be my father! 😜

@@nigelkthomas9501 Vera romantical, the Country and the Railway. Happy that England is helding his Railwaycultur til today. A nice and beautifull litlle Railway.
Great Video. I see you can get a day pass on this railway and hop on and off and explore the area. Are you aware of any good fishing near one of the stops? Thanks.
You might have a chance at 'Talyllyn Lake' which is around 4km from the top Station Nant Gwernol. Although, I would check with the local authorities first if fishing is allowed there ;)

Talyllyn Railway I assume the railway is closed at the moment because of the lockdown? Are you taking this opportunity to do more track and maintenance work?
Lovely black and red baby steam engine train.Nice coverage of greenery and hills. Thanks.
You’re welcome. Glad you like what I post.
Gorgeous little Welsh engines in stunning scenery! 🏴 I love it.

Thanks. This is my most watched/liked video. I need to visit it again.
Great view of a perfect little railway and Talyllyn and Dolgoch look almost brand new!

Great video and trains. Love the scenery. Australia.
I’m planning on going to the TR later this year if I can. I haven’t been since 2016 when I made this video, that’s eight years!
superbe video que l'on ne se lasse pas de regarder...
Thanks very much; merci beaucoup!
A cracking video - thanks for posting.

I’ll look into it next time I’m in the area.
Lovely railway, I visited the "Talyllyn" in the early-mid 1980s.
Me too when I was a lot younger! It certainly is a great little train of Wales!
All Aboard. All Aboard. Enjoy the ride.
This is, so far, my only ‘good go’ at the TR.
Thank you.
Happy memories travelling on this railway. xx

That's the Skarloey Railway over here guys!
It certainly is!

Super good video Nigel :)
Thanks very much. The TR have used some of this footage in their videos, but despite saying they would credit me in some way they haven’t as yet.
A Really Useful Railway.
It certainly is, and was.
Thanks.
I’ve been on this!
Good for you! We’re you there that weekend in 2016?
Nearly every filming location, the audio sounds as if a great running river or water fall …
Thanks for the comment. I was quite close to a waterfall at one point!

Bobby Crush I’m afraid not as it’s not something I’ve ever done. Sorry for taking so long to reply, but I’ve only just seen your comment.

Excellent. Hope you had a good time.
In Wales?
Yes it certainly is.
Thanks.
Is this a commuter train too, going from different towns?
Hardly! It’s a Welsh heritage narrow gauge railway primarily for tourists and enthusiasts.
I sure hope the Talyllyn Railway hasn’t gone out of business due to the corona virus pandemic.
I doubt that very much. Society simply wouldn’t allow it to go.
@@nigelkthomas9501 It has to live longer. Besides, I always want to go there after my trip to Japan, once this nightmare is over.
