Still gives me chills every time I hear the ctowd when jerry bust into "Loose Lucy was my Delight". Did it to me in 90 and it is still doing it to me in 2021. Damn I miss the misguided summers of my youth watching the dead as the sunset surrounded by 1000's of "friends". Cant wait to hear Jerry rip it once I make it to the promised land...

@@KCKempinski Hi Kevin! You’ve probably heard this before from us “old folks” but this was a time when bands stood on stage, played their own instruments and sang for 3 hours straight. The Dead in my opinion was an experience not a concert. Everyone was, for lack of a better word, NICE! You need a ticket, I have an extra for $20. No money? Ok just take it. Walking 10 miles down the highway for a show, truck pulls over, you going to the show? Hop in plenty of room. You need a place to stay tonight, 3 options, here’s my hotel#, my friend has that red trailer over there tell her I sent you, or we have a tent with sleeping bag you can set up. Oh I love the purple bracelet you made, how much? It’s $15 but if you have $5 that’s ok. One off my most memorable was DC. I had taken too many tabs and was feeling scared and paranoid. I guy who was with about 10 other guys came and sat by me. He asked if I was having a bad trip, I said yes. He made me promise to stay where I was and he would be right back. He came back with 12 beers. Told me to down as many as I could. Played goofy drinking games with me. Stayed right by my side while his friends were off having fun. 45 minutes in I was drunk not paranoid. He stayed with me till the end. The next day the field and parking lot was void of trash and graffiti. Jerry would lecture us on leaving nothing but footprints and we listened to him!

It's just a standard rock and roll song, but after watching Jerry suffer through addiction by being largely inanimate on stage through the previous years, seeing him exude joy in 89 and 90 (the peak of his sobriety IMO) was and still is fulfilling.

I was there in Hamilton and then went on to Cleveland. Car broke down on the way 1980 Accord (clutch blew), parked it and got a rental and on the way home stopped and sold it to a local farmer. Got my dad to come pick us up in Woodstock Ontario. Good times!

I was in ocean city with friends for spring break. My friend called me and said he had tickets and we just so happened to be coming back on that Wednesday. If anyone remembers, it was around 85 degrees and actually hot. This was a great concert and of course the let it grow made it on without a net. Good year to be in baltimore/D.C. Later in the summer, RFK was great! Please comment back to me. Memories are all we have now!

This was a kick ass spring tour. I was at all three nights in Landover and debated for some time with a bud that went to the Albany shows which series of shows were hotter. I still think this run were the hotter shows.
