I would be interested in a dart video with the different darts in different blasters like this, the nexus, and a caliburn or something.
One of the Uncles brought his Trion to our non-game meeting last week.
I was able to shoot it after the meeting and able hit the Norm’s light post around shoulder level with each shot about 3/4 across the parking lot and NOT hit any of the other Uncles.
Side Note: Before we even got seated someone saw the Trion and called the Cops. He had a good laugh with us after verifying what it was.

As I bought a bunch of the AF Pro Short Mags when they were $9.99 for Two 12 Mags, 12 AF Pro Darts and an Adapter… I have a good number of those…
So the fact this WILL use those definitely is a boon in my eyes.

@@kingofgames234 - No paint. The Bright Red stock piece and Orange barrel were abundantly apparent, though the pump grip had been changed and the m-lock had a black attachment… Still should have been apparent as a non-real steel item. But some people are just either over cautious or jerks.
Just found your channel ( subbed ) looking for a review on this blaster. Thanks for being indepth and thorough in your reviews, especially for those of us in the hobby that are looking for reviews from a competitive standpoint, without all the hype and gimmicks that some of the other 'established' YT foam flinging reviewers are becoming. " Just the facts Mam" kinda thing is all I need.
Hey thanks! Glad you like the content. That’s exactly the vibe I’m going for. I joined the hobby and pretty much immediately got submerged into competition. But I do enjoy the more silly stuff too! Like the Fortnite flare haha
huge step up over the game face prime, and that was a cut above the ceda it's based on. super nice blaster out of the box. i did testing with this, the GFP, and nearly all the AFP blasters as well as the max stryker, and these mags fit all of them if you're using the right magwell adapter. the trion really shines at doing what the nexus did a couple years ago. being an out of the box, competitive blaster. it's nice too for collectors like me that might want to use it in a war, but don't own a dozen talons. i can hit the field with my mismash of talons, katanas, AF./DZP/DZM mags and the trion mag and be just as effective. super cool blaster and i'm glad i got one on drop day.

I just received mine in the mail this morning and cant wait to unbox and review this thing! As far as the scar barrel goes, based on your video it looks like the attachment point is covering some of the metal barrel. If this is true I'll be designing and printing a replacement piece to delete the attachment point to expose that protruding barrel to hopefully allow for the various scar barrels to attach to it. We will see! Thanks for the video & love the channel.

Once I actually shot it and then saw the buffer tube hiding under the thumb hole I knew it was well worth it.

Out of the box, the best allround springer blaster
With the normal darts like worker or max darts, looks like it is HVZ ready and with 2 spacers you get a 200FPS cap competitive blaster.
Pretty much! You would definitely need to be careful choosing which dart to chrono with for competitve play. 30 fps difference between using its included ammo vs worker darts
Great quality video! I got the teal, both colors are slick. I have had some jamming issues when using both spacers, have you?
Yeah both colors do look really good! I have not had any jams with both spacers. I have noticed a slight alignment issue with worker mags more recently where it catches the edge of the feed lips but other than that no issues.

Thanks for the heads up! I did get a dm on discord about it right after I finished recording the video . I need to place an order soon for other parts anyway so I’ll definitely be throwing that in.
@@kingofgames234 just got mine in the mail, maybe not as consistent as a bcar but it's a truly fantastic 3D print rifled barrel, definitely better that a cheap scar . I'm going to do some testing with this and then print out the adapter that exposes the barrel to also do some tests with a nice bcar.
Also Silly and OOD already have options for scars.
I did mention the silly option around 15:15 ish. But yeah the OOD one should be an easy solution! I can’t wait to test it

This blaster is direct competitor with Worker Harrier. For me, I'm with Worker.
I would say this blaster is not a direct competitor with the harrier for a few reasons:
1) The Size… the worker harrier is about 3ft long in its smallest configuration. As a pro competitive player I was very excited by the harrier… until I saw it in a side by side picture with a swift. They are pretty much the same size in length, the harrier is just skinnier. The trion is significantly smaller.
2) The Performance… early tests of the harrier are showing that blaster hitting upwards of 270 fps with heavier worker darts. Where as you can see in my video. With those same darts the trion is getting around 185 fps. They really aren’t in the same power category.
3) The Price… The trion is $80 with all first party upgrades already included ( basically just the spacers) while the harrier is about $170 and has several first party upgrades sold seperately. With those upgrades pushing the price up into the $220 range.
Basically the harrier is a more expensive but more premium option than the trion. With a price difference of over $100 and a 100fps… I really feel like the target audiences and purposes are different. I can’t tell you yet if the harrier is good because I do not have one. But I can definitely see a lot of people owning both for different events, game modes or play styles .
@@kingofgames234 unfortunately, Trion not selling in my country Malaysia, only option I got for small pump action blaster is Worker Harrier or Feeline Shooter ( lynx clone ) butt China made blaster plenty here, two days ago I'm receiving Sweetheart Storm FB1 ( FB1 for Short) , and I'm already own two Colonel Wasp X76 ( 1 old version , another is new version) . Practically your country US is lucky enough.

Wow, you are right. Although it is listed at $40 for the orange one on Walmart’s website, you can’t order it anymore and there is no store with it available in my area either. There were still some at the time I recorded the video, but not now.

This just arrived yesterday. It jams A LOT. Like one in every 20 shots. Maybe not a jam, but the trigger gets stuck. Then I have to remove the stock and essentially reset the spring for the trigger to work. Not practical. Spent $200 for the product and to have it shipped to Canada. :(
I have heard of a couple people now with this issue. Have you tried contacting gameface about it? They may send parts or a replacement to fix it.
@@kingofgames234 My kid hasn't been using it all that much for the past 4 weeks. We should pick it up again and see how it's performing (although I can't imagine the issue has gone away). If it's the same issue, I'll be sure to contact them.
@@kingofgames234 Great review, it helped me to choose between several buying options for my kid. However mine is jamming whenever using X-shot ammo instead of original one. Trigger is fine but the dart is somehow stuck in the barrel and then leaves with the next shot. Anyway much more reliable than Zuru X-shot longshot (yes 3 times less expensive I know🙂).

Drac made a scar for this
Yes , there are now several scar options for trion now. Drac an OOD made scars for it. But I also saw an adapter to remove the twist lug and expose the tip of the barrel so you can use any scar.
Those darts are quite expensive
I agree they are expensive. Pretty much exactly the same price as DZP bamboos.
