HIGH-LEVEL POLITICAL FORUM
The establishment of the United Nations High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) was mandated in 2012 by the outcome document of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), "The Future We Want". The format and organizational aspects of the Forum are outlined in General Assembly resolution 67/290.
The Forum meets annually under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council for eight days, including a three-day ministerial segment and every four years at the level of Heads of State and Government under the auspices of the General Assembly for two days.

Giselle is so well spoken she’s the best speaker of the group not only in English but in any language. She gave the speech so flawlessly without any stuttering.

It wasn't really a stutter at all. It was actually rather quickly insuring correct and proper pronunciation from one native language speaker (한국어, 한국말 "Korean") to a new language.

aespa is actually the perfect group to adress the sustainability of Metaverse issue. Big companies and even governments are clearly racing towards the metaverse, they spent billions of $ on it and it will become something inevitable in the future, that's why it included on SDGs 2030 goals. The metaverse has its concerns related to it such as the effects on environment and it's very rare to see a company that specializes on the metaverse to contribute on SDGs. Most companies will disregard topics about the environment.
aespa, as a group with a metaverse concept, at the UN is advocating people in order to sustain the development of the metaverse, the real world must also find a sustainable development plan. They encouraging people on how they should maintaining the sustainability of the ecosystem, environment and the quality of living while developing something advance aka metaverse and striving for the future because afterall the metaverse is the extent of the real world. There will be no good thing happens to the metaverse if it end up causes such damages to the environment we're living right now. That's what they've been trying to deliver within those 2 minutes and i think they did a great job.

Interesting, but I still don't get what the company SM and aespa do for sustainability which other major companies don't do? There're quite a lot of "metaverse" concepts/experiments existing out of Kpop and the music industry. So what does SM different to other companies who approach the topic from a more scientific side?

Their message is also very clear. In almost only 3mins, they were able to deliver it well. They are also the best ones to address the issue since their concept as a whole, so far, is all about the metaverse. Which is inevitable. Hence, the lessons in all their video concepts. Queens indeed!

Wow! Giselle's speech is so impressive. She has been my favorite for various reasons and I'm adding her outstanding speaking skills to those reasons. Even more impressed how Aespa after debuting the same month as STAYC in Nov 2020 has skyrocketed to global stardom in less than 2 years.

The UN (ITU) was previously speaking about the metaverse earlier this year to help speak about SDG’s. It was meant to target young people, so that we can help meet these goals properly. If it’s any group that is perfect to speak on this exact topic, it is aespa.

I mean sure they don’t necessarily know the characteristics and complexity of this topic, but they are a good representation of how these topics fall into media and our current culture. They are young ladies operating in an industry that is extremely influenced by technology, social media, and ultimately what the metaverse / virtual reality could become. I believe these debates and conversations often miss out on having speakers who aren’t necessarily experts on the fields but actual actors and living being of those systems, and groups such as Aespa are of great influence on the younger generation especially as kpop is becoming so massive. So great job girls 🙏🏼

I honestly feel so bad for aespa since I am sure the script was not written by themselves and most likely SM. The fact that SM is tryna promote their group here where politics are usually being discussed is giving me second-hand embarrassment. I do not blame aespa for doing this since they are 100% forced. But why must SM ALWAYS make aespa do everything when they are only a 2 year old group.
