    I'm about to buy this kit - why do the 2x stepper motors need to be removed from the PCB? They don't appear to block anything?

    • @MinitoolsChannel
      @MinitoolsChannel  26 дней назад

      Hi, as pointed at 2:17 the two stepper motors are blocking the plastic housing of the LCD display, which needs to be released in order to replace the screen.

      Car companies aren't interested in anyone being able to repair anything on their cars that needs servicing after the warranty is up. They would tell you to throw the car away and buy a new one.

      @@tempest411 I know, you are right.."we value your opinion and your feedback", but doing opposite, kind of thing..that kind of philosophy in general, has brought our civilisation to the point where we are right now, at the brink of existence..in short, a human kind is taken for granted, from every perspective..

      Ich vor einem halben Jahr ein neues gebrauchtes Gerät gekauft, und jetzt habe ich zwei Tachos mit Pixelfehlern! Ich kann zumindest einen für eine „experimentelle Reparatur“ verwenden, die ich dann am anderen ausprobieren kann, wenn sie funktioniert! Der Kauf eines alten, gebrauchten Clusters ist nicht die ultimative Lösung, denn Ihr Tacho hat versagt, weil er alt ist. Warum sollte der gebrauchte Cluster, den Sie gekauft haben, nicht auch versagen? Oder meinen Sie vielleicht, dass Sie zwischen 1000 und 1500 Euro für ein neues Exemplar von BMW investieren sollten? Das ist für den einfachen 'Michel' eine 'große Sache'!

      Hi Jacek, the Kapton tape has been used to insulate the edge of the PCB, in order to avoid shorts between the display flat cable and the board.
