The funny thing is If you look at Saber-Alter's form you'll notice she's not wearing her full armor meaning she was severely holding back. Otherwise half the country side would be engulfed in flames..by her "Beam-Saber"
I’m pretty sure it’s because she’s weakened as a class card, so she doesn’t have nearly as much power as she does in other entires.
As far as I remember it was destroyed earlier in the fight by combo-attack of Rin and Luvia.

So, a little explanation, this Saber, and the other Servants, because of the Class Cards, were Hollow-Servants, meaning they’re severely weakened & are mindless husks, fighting based on raw instinct and anger, meaning it wouldn’t be too hard for a talented level-headed Mage/Magus to beat them given they had the right equipment
What's with the Emiya and their obsession with Archer and Saber??
Archer from Fate Stay Night was actually Shirou from the future, so that might be an explanation if you're looking for one. I've got nothing for why they like sabers so much tho, aside from their balance of skills and strength.

Honestly, even though its just a card and not a genuine heroic spirit, I was still surprised she was able to go to to toe against alter. The only thing that didn't surprise me is Ex Calibur beating Ex cal Morgan. The original always beats the corrupted. Ahhhhh someone told me Illiya had support from the Holy Grail lol that explains soooo much.
Because it's only based on Mana and nerf just for the notice
1-install servant is alot stronger than shadow servant(dark servant)(except Heracles)
2-is because illya has alot more Mana than this nerf version of saber alter

The reason why install servant is stronger than shadow servant is because it almost like this
In fate stay night there is a concept of 1 master(Mana)1 servant(Mana)(Mana+Mana=more Mana) right?well it does the same concept to install
1 master-the user
1 servant -the card
Meanwhile shadow servant is pretty much a mindless beast that destroy everything
-simple to say they are an incomplete servant because they doesn't have any master so that means their stat is lower Compare to their install state
But shadow servant Heracles could be an exception because Heracles shadow servant is stronger because he has his god hand status that make him abit superior than Heracles install version
Tbh i thought it was gonna sound cringey but damn was i surprised, this was great good job on this everything was perfect about this the voice fitted the characters the sound effects were great 10/10
The animation was also really smooth
My only complaint about the voice acting is the characters sound older than they look
That was WAAAAY better than what we got from the official dub.

If you guys ever get enough notoriety to become a proper dubbing studio I would totally watch your dubs! I noticed a lot of people complaining that Illya was meant to sound more high-and-squeaky, but I feel like that's more of a stylistic thing, while your dub sounds more like I'd expect an actual 10 year old to sound irl, also Miyu's voice is spot-on and I love it ^^

Damn dude, that was awesome. The voice acting and the sounds effects were on point. I can’t wait for the next fandub. Excellent job.
More like FAN-SFX as this fight doesn't have many voiced lines (outside of fighting noises). All of the parts were on point though. Volume balancing between voice lines, music, and sound effects was also pretty good. Thanks a lot to the voice actors and editor.

Great job, all three of you VA for this fandub!
In addition to the vocal dubbing, I enjoyed the direction of the reworked sound effects. One could call them hollow, but I think I'd say it does highlight the ethereal nature of the Servant and their weaponry. I think Illya's performance was great overall, and only needed to be more stable in yelling out her final push of the beam struggle between her and Saber Alter to fully sell the impact of her effort. Still, I quite liked watching this for the first time since watching it before the pandemic.

@@typeouetco1626 Okay if you are going by Sparks Linear High you might have seen there that Shirou was activating his Np's there while Alter didn't even bother to use mana burst.
EMIYA in UBW didn't want to fight Artoria in a swordfight and activated UBW.
Emiya was also losing to Cu who was nerfed by command spell and Artoria managed to overpower Cu there.
Shirou as a swordsman is just a little higher than Gil not Emiya.
The biggest reason Illya is winning is just how much raw energy she can pur behind the archer class card.
@@hell7756 Pretty sure the reason he was "losing" to cu was because he was holding back because he figured his master was watching in order to not reveal his cards as the saying goes
Shit like this kinda made the other 95% of the show worth it.
Well the 2.5% of Highly sexualized kissing didn't really serve as a deterant either.
But yeah 92.5% of the show really is just cute girls doing cutesy things. except for season 3 and the movie. that shits pretty dope.

@@2side1coiniskandaraslar69 Emiya can't duplicate things he never sees. They made it a point in Stay/Night that Emiya never actually sees Excalibur because Saber generally hides it when she fights and he happens to not be there the few moments she does show it. I don't know if that's still true for the rest of the Fate universe, but my guess is the writers are very aware they would open up a plot hole if Emiya ever saw Excalibur and would never let that happen.
@@ailius1520 he has watch it but depends on the route but in case for fate stay knight emiya UBW he has mention inside the anime he could project 80% of the Excalibur so yes he can project excalibur but it will bring a tow to his own body

If people want us to believe emiya isn’t one of the most powerful heroic spirits they should stop having him beat everyone he goes up against.
From what I know, his strong but not that strong, but his technique, cunning, and vast versitility of UBW along with his tracing make him a threat. Though he can spam broken fantasms which helps close the gap, the cost it takes to create one and and his low reserves limit his abilities.
@@nuriel1786 sure. Sure. I know why the official statement is that EMIYA isn’t in the top ranks but actions speak louder than words and EMIYA has defeated basically every servant he fights against or the battle ends in a draw.
@@bcfb21 I see a bit of confusion here. Being Powerful is not equal to being a Threat. To be Powerful is to be strong, which he is in certain areas like versitility, and cunning, To be a Threat is to pose as a danger. Emiya is definitely a massive threat to all his opponents, not because of his raw power and abilities but rather on how he decides to use it to tilt the battle into his favor. His versitility, cunning nature and sharpened experience as a counter guardian are his highlights. You mentioned on your first comment, or at least implied, that he was powerful or at least one of the most powerful with all of those opponents that he defeated, I'm here to tell you that he really isn't all that powerful but he is definitely a threat unlike any other.
@@nuriel1786 it depends on how you define power. Your definition and mine are clearly very different. If you consistently defeat opponents then you are more powerful than them. Using your mind or your skill over raw strength makes no difference in power, both are simply tools and using them effectively makes you powerful. It’s why I have issues with people saying gilgamesh would be the most powerful servant if not for his enormous ego. You can’t just take part of Gil away just like you can’t add things to other servants. Gil is arrogant beyond reason and it makes him lose fights he could win. But that means he is weaker because that is how he was written whereas EMIYA does not have the pure strength or magical abilities that Gil does, however he makes up for it by being tactical and intelligent and never underestimating his opponents. This makes EMIYA more powerful than Gil imo because you need to take them both as they were written. But that’s a different tangent. EMIYA is the most powerful because I can’t recall a fight that he definitively lost that he wanted to win. You could argue his first fight with Lancer was a loss. But I don’t think he intended to win it and his goal was only buying time. Similarly you could say his first clash against saber would have ended with him dying. But the fight was cut off before things got serious. I haven’t played the VN and from what I hear in at least one of the other routes he loses early on and gives his arm to Shiro before popping out of existence. And now that I am thinking of other routes I remember he does have one definitive loss against Heracles in the fate route. So yeah he has definitively lost a single fight out of probably close to a dozen which is pretty good especially when that loss is to the monster that is Heracles.
In terms of pure stats and Noble Phantasm/legend he isn't exactly the best especially compared to his peers back in 5th Grail War, while he has UBW Archer himself said its only going to be truly effective against someone like gilgamesh due to obvious reason. But UBW and lackluster servant stats aside, personally I found his Tracing magecraft and combat skills as the main reason this guy is able to go toe to toe against servants stronger than him such as Cu Chulainn or Heracles.
The only way I see EMIYA lose is if the enemy has overwhelming strength that even strategy could only do so much against.
Illya/Kuro gaining access to Archer EMIYA's abilities is a force to be reckoned with ngl.
I mean think about it...
Illya and Kuro both possess what could be considered the highest grades of Magical Circuits and unlike Shirou and Archer, they are all naturally activated and are able to handle powerful Magecraft like Projection and UBW like it's nothing.
Like in UBW, Archer admits that he's able to project a convincing Excalibur that is almost one-to-one with Artoria's but due to his lack of Mana he'll probably die on his first try, and here Illya/Kuro is proving that exact point, heck with Reinforcement, it's safe to assume that she's able to project Excalibur as a Broken Phantasm.
The ramifications of "Illya/Kuro Archer" is by far the greatest threat to the Throne of Heroes, one that dare I say it? Even Archer Gilgamesh must admit to being a worthy opponent.
But she is not fate stay night illya
Plus yes she has been born as humunculus but she doesn't been trained to use magic circuits simple to say she pretty much a human more than humunculus in this universe
So she cannot use magic without ruby and sapphire to help
But considering she has been born from magus family her mana is far better than shirou because in fgo her mana is B

Illya's max Mana output lets her use Quintett Feuer. That attack "is comparable to the light of a planet" and can overpower a nerfed Enuma Elish.

One of the most underrated Fate Fight. Why do nobody remember this is one of the most readable (Able to understand fights) Every detail can be seen. And being a 2013 anime. It hold itself ngl. It reminds me of Fate Zero fight's Choreography with the smoothness of it.
When the Emiya Theme kicked in I was getting all giddy
I know it's probably lesser in comparison to the pretty good a voice work here, but to be honest, I just loved the sound effects.
When shouting for using excalibur, you voice must do knightly.

just come back too see this and now i finaly realize the reason mia in shock is not about how illya can use the card but she just shock about illya using her brother(alter universe) ability xD
This scene is amazing as a second watch bonus because Miyu transitions nonverbally from afraid of the outpuring of magical energy Illya is producing to shocked Illya is capable of magic without Ruby at all. Then once she starts speaking it's in a vuage denial, which is ironically probably played straight here because Illya just unlocked the Install system meaning that Miyu now has more understanding of the situation than she did before but the general nature of what she is saying doesn't give that away. Miyu then comments on Illya's form and combat ability, which are something that can only belong to Shirou Emiya but because of sequencing deception we are led to believe is led to refer to her next line instead. It is only in her third line of dialogue Miyu comments that Illya has transformed into a heroic spirit, which causes the viewer to assume that is what Miyu has been shocked about the whole time. In reality Miyu has been focused on the fact that Illya was able to reveal secrets of the cards meaning she wasn't a civilian, but a magus which Miyu has prior knowledge of because she isn't a civilian, and he major concern is that Illya became Shirou Emiya, and that Shirou Emiya is a heroic spirit despite him still being alive when she last saw him.
THE VIEWER HAS NONE OF THIS INFORMATION OF FIRST VIEWING. From a normal perspective she is just amazed Illya's new mid-season magical girl power up which she achieved without someone guiding her through the steps of the magic spell before now, which Illya has always needed help with so this should be her big moment. Combined with the big outpouring of magical energy, and the lock breaking the viewer might be worried about a super powered evil side or something too. None of Miyu's true concerns are anywhere in the ballpark of plausibility, and the shifted context on rewatch is amazing.
That's top-notch voice acting right there.
2nd fav part I love the part when illya died but it's not in here 😭
My only complaint is saber's "glasses" breaking from the shot before excalibur, in the OG scene the sfx of the shatter is much more impactful, but everything else is top notch

Thanks to all the people who still watch this or are new coming back to it! I did this fandub along with others(that YT copyright obliterated from my channel) because I wasn’t the biggest fan of the official dub or there wasn’t one out yet but all the same I’m glad people have continued to like it over the years. If I thought about doing a remaster of this it would be cool but I was lucky to get away with this dub and shirou vs Angelica still staying on here without my channel gettin annihilated somehow 😂 thanks for the continued compliments and views because I love coming back to this and seeing the work I put in back then with sound is still getting recognition today and motivates me to continue improving my craft even if it’s not on this channel as much anymore. Hope yall are doing solid to whoever reads this 🫡

Illya is moe/kawaii character, both here and in Fate. Taking away cuteness from her, make that character pointless.....

I think the only reason the illyia can copy a excalibur its because of natural sorcery trait of einzbern "wishcraft" that can do whatever you want if you exchange for mana or prana, in the end the card emiya projection and illyia wishcraft can project a divine construction
