WHAT??? MY favorite Christmas Movie didn't even make the list! Boo...I love my #1 Rudolph the red nosed reindeer 🦌💗 As a child n an adult .Not a bad list but come on Rudolph 🦌🎀
thanks for the comment! Rudolph is actually at #27 on my list this year. rankings were difficult but I’ll fine tune it for next year. I’ll make sure to rewatch Rudolph before next year.
Actually, I think "It's a Wonderful Life" is greatly overrated as a Christmas film. It is happenstance that the events in the film happen to occur during Christmas. Far more deserving, and seldom noted, is "Meet Me in St. Louis". While not exclusively about Christmas, this Judy Garland film does include a song that has become a Yuletide standard, "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". This is certainly more than can be said about the tiresome "It's a Wonderful Life"
I appreciate the comments. I think ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ has just become tradition for lots of people rather than being the best ever. This was a difficult list to get right, lots of opinions, so I mostly used accumulated rankings from other published lists I found on the internet. Meet Me In St Louis ended up at #25 this time, but I’ll rewatch it and revisit the list again next year. Thanks again.
Thanks for the list and all the helpful info !!
glad you liked it. thanks for the comment!
Hard to argue with #1. Scrooged is in the top 5 on my list.
thanks. maybe Scrooged can move up the list next year after I rewatch it
