Legend is genuinely one of my favorite movies. I saw it when I was a kid, and it's still way up there for me. Tim Curry's Darkness is so compelling and perfect. Personally, I would put Legend above most of these. With Alien and Blade Runner being the only two above it.

I love A Walk to Remember.

My favorite is "Something for Joey". It was released as a theatrical movie in Japan. However, it is not even included in your complete list. Is it because it's too old or because it was just a TV film in the US?

There was also The Jackie Robinson Story from 1950. Jackie Robinson played himself.

Knute Rockne All American should have been on the list even if it was from a long time ago. Then again, it may have been seen differently but not for an actor in it becoming President of the United States and continually quoting one of his lines, which the real person never said.

A glaring omission is "The Stratton Story". The true story of Monty Stratton who works his way into the major leagues becomes an all star pitcher only to have a hunting accident losing his right leg. Stratton is played by Jimmy Stewart. Also "Bang the Drum Slowly" and the movie "Fear Strikes Out" are much better than some of the films listed.
