- One of the most satisfying things about wood carving is taking scraps of wood and creating something out of nothing!
This video has me carving a mushroom out of wood with some really tough wood! it wasnt easy, but I got it done :) my had almost gave out halfway through though.

Edit: finally done! From walnut for the head, plum wood for the trunk and pinewood for the base.

Mushroom carvings are really cool in that even if you "mess up" it still would fit perfectly into nature and blend in with the other beautiful asymmetrical mushrooms.
