Unstacking with crane or machine capable of lifting about 2500# at 10 feet out is easiest. Second option, if don't mind few scratches and don't want to have to rent machinery. Place floor jack between top can and middle can. Jack top can up. Put wood blocks so top can will slide over can underneath. Typically can buy one 4x4 post and cut it up into pieces. Find an open area with no hazards and Tilt stack and the top can will slide off but the middle can will not because the tabs at the rear will catch. Repeat for the middle can. If they are unstacked and you want to restack would require another machine or some creativity. @@passportgang8189
System weight is about 5500# so with 7k axles 14,000 GVW leaves 8500# axles payload and 10,500# with 8k axles upgrade. Of course some of the load is transferred to the neck of the tow vehicle so if heavily loaded and about 3000# of the weight rests on the neck then those payloads can increase by that amount. Since you know some of the load transfers to the truck but you don't know exactly how much I would say the 14k system about 10k max payload an 16k system about 12k max payload.
Gooseneck can turn sharper even beyond 90 degrees, gooseneck also handles weight better than bumper pull. Iron Bull only builds the gooseneck right now. Bumper pull may be coming but not available right now. For bumper pull we have that in stock from PJ and from MaxxD at www.chipperllcsales.com
The easiest way is remove the straps, leave the bottom box connected, tip the trailer back and let the top two slide out. Of course you need to be in an open area for this and stand clear when doing it for safety. Dumpsters might get a little scratched on the top rail but it's minor and makes process quick. You may have the top two still partially together. In that case just hook to the bottom one and pull it onto the trailer system with trailer system full raised and the top one will slide out.
Question.. you say, you have MaxxD roll off too? If so, which one would you recommend out of Ironbull and MaxxD. Im in the market for one of these but don’t know which to pick. Keep in mind MaxxD is nearly $10k more than Ironbull. I am thinking of hauling dirt & concrete.
In the 16' Maxxd is much higher than the Iron Bull but in the 14' MaxxD is about the same as the Iron Bull 16'. Right now Iron Bull is 7k axles only but 8k and 10k are coming so we are told. MaxxD you can get with 8k axles and that is what we stock. We have PJ, MaxxD and Iron Bull in stock. Here is link to our web site. Enter stock # R14k or R16k to see the roll off trailers in 14k and 16k Here are links: www.chipperllcsales.com/trailers/dump-trailers?stock=r14k and www.chipperllcsales.com/trailers/dump-trailers?stock=r16k
To elaborate our MaxxD systems have 8k axles and 16 ply tires. With dirt and concrete you will max out on weight before volume so the MaxxD is a great choice for heavy hauling. our prices on MaxxD are close to the Iron Bull but a little higher due to 8k axle and 16 ply tires. Check our prices out online! Thx!
Looks like a really nice trailer but the covers on the can instead of the trailer is a deal breaker its going to be a nightmare not having the arm to get the covers over the load
Pros and cons to both ways. Automatic tarp systems are fast but dont really secure the sides of the tarp. Tarps on each container allow you to tarp it from the ground. Only about 5' from ground to top. Can add a few bungees along the side if the load is overfull and keeps the system cost lower but agreed the auto tarp systems are nice. Not yet available through Iron Bull but several 3rd party companies make them.
It is normal for goosenecks to have storage in front between the jacks for chains, binders, supplies etc. What would you do with that space otherwise. Think everyone is 5'6" I don't get it, understand the problem? They have a tarp included on each container. This way you can tarp the container while it is still on the ground so it's easy to reach. They offer 16' long containers where others only offer 14' for more capacity without having to have higher sides. Sorry I don't fully understand what you say is inferior and why?
@@chipperllctrailersandequip4214 there are some companies that also utilize the space in front of the fenders as storage, at 6’5 it’s not always easy to get under the neck and lift things bending over while the truck is attached. . The site doesn’t show as having a tarp as a standard option, or an option..not that I can see. If they did they should advertise that it is one as most states it’s a law. I will say based on what I’ve seen IB makes them stout.
@@chipperllctrailersandequip4214 I also think by putting the winch in a huge box they eliminated the possibility to rig up a snatch block or am I missing something?
@@ryanhardin5166 You are correct that Iron Bull builds strong trailers. They could do better with marketing materials. Yes, each dumpster comes with tarp standard. They are working on an autotarper design for the trailer but not yet in production. The tarp on each dumpster is great because it's easier to tarp on the ground vs on the trailer if it's manual.
@@ryanhardin5166 The toolbox is more to protect from being stepped on, the rain and sun degradation. It is open front to the dumpster so could still use a snatch block and double pull. Just need to remove the snatch block before the final pull into the locks.
Can u load a skid steer in one of these?
Can you make a video demonstrating unloading these?
Happy to help but can you clairify? You mean 1) how to set an empty can down? 2) how to dump a loaded can 3) how to get a stack of cans unstacked?

Is it a standard rail
60 inch standard rail.
Can you dump gravel and dirt out of these? Or is that strictly only for a dump trailer
what's the payload on the trailer?
