Can we just add Zac to the coaching staff and make him strictly a DB recruiter? I don’t think I’ve ever heard him miss on a DB in all the years I’ve been listening to him
I sincerely apologize for not liking cornbread. 😂 I am Italian, from Pittsburgh, so I was raised on completely different kinds of bread. But I love living down here and must A-Dapp-T
Italian bread is the best. As a southern born and bread, cornbread is all about what you put it with. Veg soup or chili is required. By itself, cornbread is not good....
Hudson spent a few minutes at the 5 and looked really good. With Purdue being a smaller lineup, do not be surprised if Hudson spends quite a bit of his playing time Saturday in the 5 position.
Auburn fans will somehow make adding a new edge a bad thing. The “well what about him” mentality gets programs nowhere. Can’t have sentimentality when building a program, just need to get the best guys.
Exactly. We have a TON of talent but not enough experience and leadership. We need one or 2 in each room to get the young players ready to be in that role
Not the true fans I hope we bring in enough to where we need to cut someone thst we all thought was going to be a starter. We're trying to improve here! Is it this coming year were moving up to 105 player rosters instead of 85?
@@chrispate7354 oh we have the leadership, that was showing at the end of the year. Our old guys including Asante, and McCloud was doing a horrible job doing so. But Riddick was highly standing out on D along with Crawford and Harris. Hopefully Deuce, JA, and Ashton all embrace the moment, and show some true leadership under center.
I think we going to be a good year next year but got to see it first I knew it was going to take time to rebuild because the roster was not where it should be from lack of recruiting and development.
Do what D² doesn't like cornbread? Whattttttttt? 👀 some cornbread, beans, taters, with some meat and maybe Mac n cheese lol Sounds good AF right now. Still early in this rn but I had an idea, long time listener. You should start doing some questions and answers. And maybe some predictions on the daily bowl games when you do your FD adds.
Why are we not discussing that we have lost EVERY scholarship QB on the roster? Does no one see this as a red flag? I thought the strategy was tap the portal the first and possibly second year. But here we are going into the third year and we have lost every QB (-DK) and have now settled for QB's that have questionable stats and in some cases worse than what we just experienced with PT. There is a serious problem that no one is talking about, in how we are hemorrhaging QBs.
Paid well over a million for him. Doubt we take another because a Ewers or someone in that level will cost 3 million plus. Unless AU has a blank check for a Ewers you have your starting QB on the roster. Arnold could be a great QB, we won’t know until we see him behind a competent line, strong running backs, and elite receivers. He was playing with literal walk ons at points in the season. He’s not a garbage QB that got benched due to his inadequacies. He’s an extremely talented QB who had absolutely no help around him. Plus they fired their OC in the middle of the season so……. OK’s offense was a dumpster fire from OC down. There’s not a QB in the country that could have elevated that program last season. Go watch his film instead of reading stats. He makes good decisions, has success when he’s not running for his life which was basically every play, and most importantly takes care of the football. He’s been running RPO offense his entire career, and can create a lot of something when there’s nothing. He beat Bama basically by himself. He couldn’t throw the ball much because of his WR1 wasn’t even in the rotation in fall camp but he made up a lot of that production on his feet. He’s a tough gritty kid that doesn’t fold under pressure. I bet he’s going to feel like the game slows down a ton behind a good line with elite receivers. Coleman is elite. I truly believe Fields can be elite if used correctly. PT wasn’t bad this season. He was bad in key moments inside the 35 this year. He doubled his production from 23’ in almost every stat line. We left a TON of points on the field due to bad play in the redzone and in game changing situations. He wasn’t a “winner” who’s going to find a way to get it done. Arnold is a dog. Will he be a great QB? We don’t know until we know. Bo Nix at AU vs Oregon……. Some questionable play calling in the redzone this season as well but it’s extremely hard to open up the playbook when you can’t score FG’s either. We’re a 9 win team if we make every FG from 45 or less. The only real problem we had this season was redzone play and absolutely abysmal ST play, especially kicking FG’s. How many 3035 yards or less punts did we have? 85-90% of PT’s int’s were in the redzone. Arnold makes good decisions in short field situations. Production may not be great but he didn’t throw but 3 INT’s. He had some fumbles yes but several were getting nailed from his blindside. He also ran the ball quite a bit. He’s mobile but you don’t want him being your feature back….. He mounted the comeback against us……… We need to rally around the kid instead of griping about him, we don’t know what he looks like with help. All he needs to do is be at minimum as productive as PT wasn’t bad this season but take care of the ball and make good decisions in the redzone. I think he’s that good at minimum. You might see the Oregon version of Bo Nix vs the AU version. We, the fans, had a LOT to do with Nix transferring. Let’s not run the kid out of town before he’s even in pads. We’re pretty good at that. You couldn’t ask for a better schedule for him to walk into either. The easiest schedule we’ve had in my 45 years of AU ball. He’s going to be fine. Who knows, Deuce might come in and ball out grabbing the spot. If we do take Ewers or anybody else it would literally shock me. Out of all the QBS available, he’s the best fit and you’re not going to see portal QB classes like last season every year. We got the best one available and if we paid that much Freeze probably already knew Ewers or other QB’s weren’t interested in AU. That ain’t on Freeze. He got the best available option. He has the talent. He has the RPO knowledge. He’s a very dangerous dual threat. He has a cannon for an arm. All we really don’t know is how consistent he can be with competent help around him. He will be better protected than PT as well. We got the best available LT who is proven legit with every other line position returning. Got more depth. I think he’s going to breakout but we don’t know until we see him. WW must have worried about him. Let’s just enjoy watching our roster upgrade all offseason and start making QB evaluations after spring at least. Shalom and WDE!
Check that Carolina list again at #8... how about a ZERO star kid being on that list 😳😳 quick search determined that Auburn needs to offer something to this kid (after he does 2 years in JUCO 😎)
Until we get a coach nothing changes top 5 class again but see nothing happening again be why would you take a chance on a portal QB who doesn’t know the plays when you had a 5 star with a year already idiots
Not being able to get off the field on third down really hurt Auburn last season and that has to change in the future.
Great coverage of the new folks today. Y’all are Dapp-rich with valuable insights.
I made chili and cornbread for dinner last night so good
Post your recipe below please
Darrell I'm extremely upset about this news about the lack of cornbread. 😢
I work with Jim Fyffe at WLWI Radio and Phil Snow at WSFA-TV , 2 great Auburn men
Worked
Can we just add Zac to the coaching staff and make him strictly a DB recruiter? I don’t think I’ve ever heard him miss on a DB in all the years I’ve been listening to him
I hope so
Motivational in put
Zack sounded legitimately hurt that he doesn’t like cornbread lol
Same
My mom is from Iowa and she can attest that corn-fed boys from Iowa are just different

How about a field goal kicker

Im so sick of our fanbase..we truly have some of the worst fans..be all Auburn or get lost

Where are we with Singleton? He made a second visit yesterday to The Plains.
My question as well
He’s supposed to commit this weekend apparently
”I pray. But they aren’t talking about him, anymore?”
@@samroberts6187 who said that?
Isn’t Fritos just strips of hard cornbread anyway?
Grandparents had cornbread every dinner
I see where Wikipedia has Eric Singleton Jr. is playing football at Auburn. Interesting!
What kinda southerner don't like cornbread I can't trust your judgment on anything now 😂
When Tai Buster committed, I thought, GREAT! He can be developed to replace Dillon Wade at Left Guard.
Hate losing Charles Kelly, damn.
Need a segment on the new JUCO rule for eligibility.
Atp we need all the help we can get. Plug n play if one not getting it next man up.
24 25 hs is great protal looks good coaching needs to improve putting them together as a team early will be important War Eagle

Dapp doesn't like cornbread? 🚩🚩

question, we hear the same thing from the top 10 schools. How can everyone be the best in transfer portal?
I say add them all. Let the best dawg eat.
Guess Dap just proved he's still not from the South 😂
Couldn’t believe what I was hearing! Not liking cornbread is sacrilegious!
Need a kicker if we don’t improve drastically there that could be 3-4 losses ..hopefully Alex gets healthy but can’t bet on it
Personal foul: disliking cornbread. Offense, Darrell Dap. 5 episode penalty, automatic first down.
Chili cheese Fritos and rice on the bottom and sour cream. It’s the only way for chili
Auburns got two TE freshman coming in do we not count them or give them a chance anymore.
We are the best team on paper
Big names higher ticket prices and we still setting at home still see no changes
Really hate losing Charles Kelly.
Cornbread with butter and jalapeno- NO SUGAR!! That’s for cake.
It's called Frito Pie. It sucks HAHA 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂who doesn’t like cornbread
6'4 235 is about the limit for a TE if you ask me....
First playoff game is friday
Just lost Charles Kelley. We need to go get Zac Etheridge and bring him back for the DBs
Fried cornbread. Try it.
Dap, if you like frito with your chili, you better try cornbread.
Move Perry to the hybrid TE position 😊
Dap the only cornbread you want is fried cornbread. That skillet crap will choke you out
Fritos trumps cornbread any day

Singleton?
What kind of Montgomery Radio Legend doesn’t like cornbread?
Pretty sure the Miami Ohio kids name is just pronounced “ryan”
Hopefully there’s still another QB coming

Cornbread is supposed to have onions and corn in it. Without those, very bland and you can keep it.
Not me a good homemade slice of cornbread can be a stand alone snack if it was made right
Bunch of rumors singleton is not coming now wonder what happened on his last visit if this is true
It’s a mortal sin not to like cornbread

Y’all need to keep in mind that WF is way worse than a lot of G5 schools. STOP with the P4 talk with this mediocre WR
