Wdym Horus doesn't synergize with Crystal Beasts? 5 copies of hand fixers, recursion and banish recovery built in just for the low low price of 1 brick and slight weakness to ash. Sounds perfectly synergetic to me :D
I totally forgot to talk about this! Yes, Horus stuff is totally fine and can also make Salvation worth using here. I disliked Horus for blocking off zones in my Rainbow Ruins strategy and forgot to try it again here, where losing one zone is usually okay! I also forgot to mention Azamina. Diabellestar stuff synergizes with everything because it was made to be the best engine in the game--and the most expensive, which is why I tend not to talk about it in my videos. Horus also would require a big investment to run optimally (Imsety is still $20 each). Those aside, I like running Advanced as a slim, pure deck. And a budget deck aside from the S:P., though I'm finding S:P to be so powerful in everything that it's worth buying (or, you know, borrowing from a friend).
It was a wonderful stroke of luck that the thing Crystal Beasts do best--spamming useless monsters--suddenly became a winning strategy thanks to the extra deck. We are the rainbow bridge to everyone else's boss monsters! The combat abilities on some of the Advanced CBs make me think that even the designers don't quite understand this...
I already commented on the glitched video, but the truth is that seeing the uploaded video again makes me very happy. You've actually made me want to reconsider the advanced engine, because I've always really liked it for no apparent reason lol Although the truth is that it may be that I'm a little blind but after discovering the rainbow ruins, the advanced darkness falls a little short for me. I mean, I have a hard time seeing an equivalent to the effect of negating spell and traps... Maybe you're right and miracle + bridge of the heart + advanced ruby is the bomb... I'll try this next time I go to my local store. By the way, I see that it is not used much, but the advanced amethyst cat can be fairly useful, especially if you want to use the summoning effect of the rainbow dragon crystal beast... Although don't pay much attention to me because it's really not that big of a deal xd. I'll have to max the advanced pegasus and advanced eagles.
It certainly hurts to give up Rainbow Ruins. Some wounds will never heal. The difference is that a deck built to use Rainbow Ruins needs larger combos to get an impressive board, whereas a defensive Advanced strategy has an easier time succeeding with smaller plays. S:P + Colossus + Miracle alone is typically a win. Basic CBs are no less capable of fielding that trio, but will be less likely to have enough crystals to keep pushing afterward. Advanced Ruby really multiplies resources. The downside (which I forgot to get into in the video) is that it's worse on offense due to dropping efficiency and versatility. A little help from Forbidden Droplet, Triple Tactics, or Evenly Matched goes a long way. I think Amethyst Cat is stinky trash garbage. The direct attacks are extra irrelevant when Advanced Dark can negate the damage anyway while sending another crystal. I use only 2 Advanced Sapphires in this build, since it's really a downgrade and I wanted to minimize the deck size.
@@MarkThePage thanks for commenting back, Mark! Yeahhh Amethyst Cat is.... Yeah. She's garbage lol. I actually have her because she's the only advanced I had except for the cobalt, sapphire and ruby trio. Thanks for clearing up my doubt. The truth is that having Ruby constantly generating resources with the bridge to the heart is a very good idea. Just like using the golden rule defensively. Btw, You've probably already thought about it but since I have extra deck space (I'm missing cards lol) I'm trying The Phantom Knights of Break Sword, A rank three that despite being quite situational can be very useful especially to charge the ruins destroying a card from your field and one from the opponent, Or even activate the effect of the Bridge of the heart to bounce. Or even to unbrick salvation without using Dugares. Also, awesome video. I LOVE your humor and the way you explain the deck, Especially after our loss (RIP Apo). You have definitely won me and many other people over as a subscriber.
I haven't used Rank 3s since the old days. Your Break Sword combo is interesting though! Rank 4 can destroy Salvation using Tornado Dragon, or discard it to rank up into the new Full Armored Utopic Ray Lancer. Speaking of Phantom Knights, a friend used Rusty Bardiche in early Advanced builds--another option I forgot about when writing this video! I've never used any PK cards personally.
Do you have an alternative for Apollousa? I’ve tried I:P into Knightmare Gryphon but it’s just not the same. Also, have you tried the Springans engine?
I haven't really missed Apollousa here! The alternatives are S:P and a more restrained, control strategy (especially if it leaves a Crystal Miracle unused). As for a Springans engine for more link materials, I was trying that in rainbow turbo just before the ban. I don't know if it was optimal but it was fun--either way though, the need for link materials is much lower now, and I've found that Advanced builds shouldn't be playing turbo engines anyway.
I enjoy this form of playing CB, and make the advanced one shine again is really nice to see. But i struggle a lot to build a 40 cards deck and fine place to siding. I put 3 miracles in the deck, and to be honest i don't know if it's a good idea, and even without that i have very few space left for adaptation, do you have any recommandation ?
My 40-card build has only 3 or 4 slots left for generic cards. Going second I often side out the third Bond and Advanced Dark or Advanced Cobalt. If 3x Miracle or a 40-card build don't feel great to you, then you can easily play a bigger deck or other forms of disruption. Keep in mind that Miracle's negation is not limited to one use per turn, it's usually stronger in multiples, and if you don't have to spend a search on it then you can search for another spell instead.
@@MarkThePage Thank you for you answer ! Acutally i love to play 40 because it's easier for me to build something more consistent, and triple miracle is really nice to play !
I have not. The S:P + Colossus play I'm focusing on doesn't allow for other link monsters. A friend used Beat Cop from the Underworld as a way to protect Advanced Dark, but I found that it's not an important card to protect during the opponent's turn anyway.
that 3:05 bit is SPOT ON ! At 9:20, SP on colossus doesnt do anything right ? colossus will not ss itself from the banished zone in the end phase because it can only be fusion summoned. or did i miss something ?
Neos Fusion was used before the structure deck support, until Predaplant Verte Anaconda got banned--but it's still legal in Master Duel! I haven't tried it because I'm always going for bigger combos.

@@MarkThePage well tcg budgeting is foreign to me as i have always been exclusively online since we never head a local scene in Turkey :D
I have the most respect for Crystal Beast players. They will somehow make some of the craziest plays and endboards with the jankiest deck ever.

I don't even care about crystal beasts, but your humor AND love for the deck are really entertaining 💜
This was hilarious through the entire video. My suscription is well-deserved.
How tf does my youtube know i play crystal beasts, i never searched for that, but thx algorythm
[looks at your avatar] Yeah, it's such a mystery. Who could've guessed?
Absolutely love your videos man keep it up
She's cute for you guys because you don't have to deal with how evil and destructive she is.
ok that was smooth as hell @ 3:06
Oh man I thought that glitch was my phone's problem. I'm relieved now. Thanks for uploading this fixed version
7:17 this is still traumatizing though
Grandpa saw terrible things in the war.
@@MarkThePage yeah. I did not need to imagine an advanced ruby carbuncle copypasta today. Pretty funny bit though
I am glad your channel grew. Keep up, friend :)
This was a very good video. Thank you for that.
