Tear Me Down by Hedwig and the Angry Inch (cover)

A little fun with the the opening tune from the motion picture version of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. I was fortunate enough to see Neil Patrick Harris take on the role of Hedwig when it came to Broadway a few years back. As much a punk rock show as a musical, John Cameron Mitchell's story accompanied by Stephen Trask's hard-hitting score was a show to remember. Sprinkle in a bit of Emily Hubley's hand drawn artwork from the motion picture and toss in the "Five Daves" and, well, this is what you get!
*note for my drummer friends out there, please forgive me. I would normally have my drummer friends knock out the drum tracks but as scrappy as Hedwig and the Angry Inch were (and the band's alter ego, Tits of Clay) I figured it was a good time to perform my very first (and likely last) song on the drums. Back to guitar for me...I wasn't designed to use four limbs simultaneously.
