So maybe it was just a new way of having that disconnect but in a more controlled manner than with permanent dissociation.

I have panic disorder and have something called pseudo seizures which sounds exactly like what you experienced. It all stemmed from a bad trip and then whenever i thought about it i felt like it was happening again. The seizures basically make my body go rigid and them limp like a fish and tingly. So weird. Hasnt happened it awhile and now im usually able to talk myself down. Last time it happened i was on a plane so now i always take ativan on flights lol perscribed of course. Not trying to overshare but just relate a lot to you, especially the fear of driving and its because confined spaces cause panic attacks
