I remember drinking the regular desperado in a bar in Birmingham on a night out and couldn't get enough of it. Woke up the next day with a killer hang over and swore I'd never drink it again until a few years later someone got me one in one a round of drinks and I bloody hated it. Won't touch the stuff again.
Its actually owned by Heineken I believe. Used to drink it a lot when i was a student often putting an actual lime inside. Not a normal beer but i do find it refreshing and easy to drink but i can see why people may not like it. Wetherspoons used to sell a cider with tequila bottle drink a while back to los something
I know a few people, who have tasted only some of this type of "beer" like Corona etc. and they are confident, that beer is not their drink, not even trying anything else. Shame on these "brewers".
Its advertised with big letters saying "Brewed : The netherlands" Atleast im so glad that Heineken brews this and not any other brand. but i do have to be a bit honest here. This one tastes okay-ish to me, i can see alot of younger party animal people try this out and wanting to try a real beer afterwards, atleast being more open to a real ale or lager. from Desperados the only semi redeeming one is the Ginger version which tastes okay to me, but my girlfriend loved it so much that its going to replace her "sparkling white wine" now. To get her more into beer I orderd a few MeadBeers and got that Chocolate double to see where that might end up. It's like my litle experiment.
i can confirm, desperados red is not available in my country but when I'm in other countries i always buy two 1 liters glass bottles in each hand and drink. It's dangerous. 😂
Well... I'm glad you drank it so we don't have to ha ha. The only Desperados I ever had was the mint one. Not only is it stupidly overpriced, but it had an awful taste... It was more "leafy" than truly minty.
Every time I tried a bottle of Desperados I was desperate for it to come to an end. 😂😂😂 Worst beer ever. Tequila is great, cachaça is great, guaraná is great. But Desperados sucks.
The only Desperados product i have tried is the one that's just flavored with tequila. It was alright but not exceptional in any way. If I were to score it then i guess that i would have given it a low 3 out of 5.
You must be 'effing joking - Tequilla comes from Mexico and is made from cactus. Guarana - pronounced Gwar-ran-ah and is a tropical fruit from the Brasilian Amazon and is is a popupar soft drink in Brasil, Cachaca - pronounced Ka-sash-ah, look at the little swiggle under the last 'C' in the word, it renders the 'C' as a soft sound in Portugeuse. Cachaca is called Aguardente da Cana and is distilled from sugar cane, a sort of sugar cane brandy. Cachaca is basically the national drink of Brasil and is a lot cheaper than drinking beer. The famous cachaca drink is caiparinas , a mixture of cachaca, fresh limes and sugar - very more-ish and very dangerous - try them with feiojada (traditionally eaten on Saturaday in Rio), that is a black bean stew with salted pork and sausage, served with white rice , farofa - toasted manioc flour, cove - stir fried cale, hot sauce - molho de pimenta and a slice of orange on the plate. Mix all this with hot Brasillian girls on Copacabana or Ipanema beach, football and a samba band and you have the very essence of the "vida Carioca" , the good life in Rio de Janerio, mix them with beer and you have s**t. Thanks for the beer reviews here is my contribution on guarana and cachaca - saude (cheers).
Haha, I had this while I was in France- it was such an abomination I had to try it. I didn't dislike it as much as you, but it was a awkward mix of Mexican and Brazilian flavors that did not taste like anything from either country. I agree... definitely not a "beer." I don't know how they were able to call it that.
Like you mate I prefer craft beers and high quality lagers but you do need to accept that there's a place in the market for this style. You only need to analyse your own channels ratings to understand as much. You can't slate it when you blatantly review it to pop a rating.
the company is getting money from people like me who think this is tasty....I do know that there are much better beers out there, but this is fine for the purpose of getting tipsy
Headbands on raving in the park 😂 is that what teenagers do these days?
Lmao poor Simon
am I out of touch?.. no.. no it is the children who are wrong!

It is brewed for teenagers. As a teenager I can say I LOVE them

A beer brewed in the Netherlands, with a "mexican" name, flavoured with brazilian cachaça and guaraná... What could possibly go wrong? Hahaha
Can you review Dragon Soup and Daleside Bitter please, love the reviews
Desperados is my favourite larger I love it
Was it worse than Belzebuth? 😏
Tequila belongs to a shotglass, casacha belongs to Caipirinha, and Guarana doesn't belong anywhere.
Tequila belongs in a tulip glass. There is shit tequila out there, but there is also a wealth of awesome tequila out there as well.
Guarana belongs to energy drinks not beers
@@juliusjarvensivu5874 Energy drinks and soda (the soda is great, believe me - try Guaraná Antarctica and Fanta Guaraná if you find it).

This sounds to me like crunk juice. Basically energy drink and booze mixed simply to get to wasted but upright
I used to drink them the pub while dancing and I found it quite nice. It's definitely more for kids though.

In the words of The Eagles “Desperado, why don’t you come to your senses?”.
It tried this once, had one gulp of it and the rest was poured down the sink.
Well... I'm glad you drank it so we don't have to ha ha.

That was pretty bad too. Not straight garbage, but not any good either
@@CataVlad21 exactly!
There's a reason why i just bought it once and never again.
I`m getting bitterness and hops at some level
Kids luv' it!
Ha
Because they hate the taste of beer, but love the taste of sugar.
Shouldn't be classified as a beer. Imagine if you found this in your local bottle shop 😂

I dont mind the normal desperados tbf,,,gets you pissed
"It comes in the category of beer"?! oh...what a diss...
mine says 6% btw
It doesn't deserve that glass
I think blue van man would thinks it’s loveleh haha
2 desperate employees disliked this 🤣
I didn't mind the red one. It's more like a bacardi breezer than a beer.

1 out 10 is still a good score. Why not 0 out of 10 Simon?
0/10 is when the beer gives you PTSD and food poisoning.
Wow, what a shocker. Have you ever given a zero out of ten? Maybe this “beer” deserved it.
It’s owned by Heineken, I’ve not had this one but I have had the normal one.
Honestly should just sell it as alcoholic soda
Girls like it
John Smiths is bloody awful too.

Kinda shocking you didn't enjoy this one, considering how much you loved it's big brother 'Lime Mint & Tequila' : P
It’s scary to imagine there’s a market for this crap out there.
Nope. Tequila is for shots on the beach in Mexico. Cachaca is for drunken samba in Brazil. This would be horrid all mixed.
I wouldn’t drink this if it was free . It’s rancid !
Citric acid is definitely not vitamin C dude. 🤦🏼🤦🏼
Sounds like you could be undecided on that one.
Tequila beer with of course, No Tequila in it...sugared pop with alcohol...😝
Its amazing this brewery is around. Who the hell buys it twice? Its bloody awful
16 bags of sugar? 😂😂🤣
Just don't misjudge tequila, cachaça and guaraná because of this disgusting beer. 😂 I don't even get the point of mixing cachaça and tequila together.
Desperados is horrible bought a crate of it years ago drank a mouthful out of a bottle and gave it away .
Pierdolisz głupoty, zajebiste piwko
