I like that it records 24/7 but I wish the videos were organized to another folder like “movement” near the car versus looking thru every video before formatting
Just bought it yesterday. Was able to get some coupons added on amazon that dropped it below $150 (which is already gone, bummer, a friend wants one). Worth the price, it puts my old VanTrue cam which was almost the same price (on sale) to shame. It's very responsive and has a tutorial on bootup to set it up, the software is solid. Gives you a QR for the app, which works seamlessly (US version). No lag, no loading, it finds the camera through Bluetooth then connects to it through WiFi immediately. I'm used to dashcams being sluggish, this thing is impressive and has a good list of settings. The app playback and library is really good and fast too, it even has search options, no hickups or bugs (on iOS). Good buy and not that many cameras in this price range have the Sony Stavis 2 sensor (a must to catch license plates), another that's cheaper is the Viofo A119 Mini (but it's single channel - no rear cam) and the A229 which has a rear cam but is slightly more. But I'm glad I got this one, packaging and presentation are superb.
Ottimo video e ottima Dash Cam molto utile alla guida facile da mettere e da togliere dopo che per un caffè mi hanno scassato la serratura dell'auto e rubata la Dash Cam Ciao
Can you upload a video while using the packaged rear cam being used as an car interior cam like the one that goes with the a500? Or is the interior dash cam compatible with this a810?
Hi just wanna ask about the a800s, did they also made an update where the dash cam records a little earlier before it detects something while in parking surveillance mode?
I would caution against purchasing the A810 model of video recorder (currently having software version 1.5.93ww). The A810 has a flaw in the emergency recording function. Emergency recording in the event of an incident only records 2 seconds of footage before the incident(!), which is too short a period to capture the entire situation that led to the incident. It is even worse when manually starting emergency recording, because there is NO buffer in it! It starts at the exact moment the button is pressed. Users report this problem officially to the manufacturer and on the fanpage, but until now there is no information on whether any software update is being prepared to fix this problem (I myself, after an email report, received only information “that they have passed on”). My post with a review of this problem on the Facebook fanpage 70mai was.... blocked. Such problems do not have, for example, the A500S Pro Plus+ model.
I know this is for cars, but any similar offerings for us on motorcycles? Especially bikes that doesn't have underseat storage space to store the bulky processing unit?
That's a VERY good question I can't easily answer. Off the top of my head, there might be better systems using helmet mounted action cameras. Maybe a 360 camera?
Been thinking about considering this brand. I've been using a Viofo A119 for for a few years, but it's starting to play up. Want to get a newer Viofo, this time with dual camera. But seeing this a810 review, I'm going to have to look this up.
@@SomeGadgetGuyYes they do. But couple pros I like with Viofo are the way the wires can be completely hidden going upwards into the head lining, and also the price, where I've got to buy 4 sets - replace mine, get one for the wife which I said I'd do since last year, and also for two of my kids who have now got there own cars! The features on the 70mai you showed though... maybe just for my own car?!
Unfortunately heat is the killer of all electronics, but I would also double check your wiring and cabling if you've gone through that many. I usually get a couple of years out of my cams, and SoCal gets pretty toasty over the summer.
Thinkware offers the most heat resistant dashcams on the market! The U1000 and U3000 are premium (and pricey) units that do well in hot climates! Blackboxmycar has several RUclips videos testing these devices and those 2 both survived their “Beat The Heat” dashcam torture tests!
I've heard that Dash Cams drains the car battery quickly, even when the car isn't running. I only drive my car twice a week, so is it safe for me to install it, or should I unplug it from the USB when I'm not using the car?
Can this front A810 unit be used with back unit RC06 (that comes with A500s)? I would like to buy only front A810 if it will work with back unit from A500s. Help please!
I asked the folks at 70Mai, and they said that the current head cameras should be compatible with all the rear cameras they've released including the RC06.
@@SomeGadgetGuy Thanks you very much. That is great 👍 I found some sources where they say only difference is that RC12 can record when in parking mode but when you use other rear camera (e.g. RC06) it can only record when driving and not in parking mode. That seems okay and fair, we can combine A810 with other previous models of 70mai rear cams.
I just need to know. Can you buy the A810 and record inside AND outside?? And also will connecting it through type C drain the battery of your car? It would be my first dash cam!
If you use the accessory port to install the second camera, you can get a feed inside, but then you wont have a rear camera for traffic. I keep mine connected to a USB in my older car, and it just shuts off when the car is off. I'd recommend installing via the fuse kit, to get the extra security options. It techincally DOES drain your car battery, but it's so minimal you won't notice for day to day driving.
I have a tint in my front windshield. My problem now is removing the my old 70mai dash camera. Any advice how to remove the previous dash cam in the front windshield?
Hurm. I'd see if you can look up what adhesive it was, and then you should be able to find a solvent that can work on it, but I'm not sure how that will handle your tint. You might want to take it to a shop?
I'll have to look into this for my next dash cam. I hardwired my Viofo A129 into my truck, but the app is very clunky to deal with. I do appreciate the polarized lens cap accessory, since the glare from the windshield and sunset were painful to look at on the 70mai. Would you say the app for the 70mai is intuitive or are there a bunch of unwieldy options kind of cluttering it up?

There is. It's called parking surveillance

Can you please cover OBD2 port power kits for DashCams also the DDPAI N5 Dual with Optional RADAR Module

Are the lenses of both the front and rear camera rotatable for certain prefered angle...?

hi, can we use power bank as battery in park mode?
Will it compatible with rear cam model RC06?
thanks for the excellent video!
where is the hardwire (fuse) video now 😂? still waiting for it! I might get it on Black Friday
Did he ever make a hardwire video?
@@kforrester3904 you will find it in youtube. it is not that hard to do.

Some solid options out there. Good pros and cons between those two brands. I think they have a Starvis 2 option also.

What can you say about the glare? Any DIY filter to use? I see a CPL but for A800s
Are there any dash cams that can withstand constant direct heat from the sun? I have gone through about 10 so far

I got heavy tint can this still film everything day and night ?
I am facing memory card damaged error even though it works on other units. The memory card is Samsung evo plus 64gb.
If we connect to fuse box, will it significantly consume the battery? Thanks
No. It seems to live in a decently low power state, but if you were looking to store a car long term, that might not work well.

Is the wifi 5Ghz?
I have a tint in my front windshield. My problem now is removing the my old 70mai dash camera. Any advice how to remove the previous dash cam in the front windshield?
Carefully? Go slow with a plastic wedge or some old credit cards, and then get some good window cleaner if there's any residue.

It's SUPER simple. I kinda liked that it wasn't cluttered up with editors or social media sharing. Not a lot of other frills tho.
Vantrue n2x не лучше ?
