Not sure if there is two or one sitting the back of the carpark at the battlefield line hopefully not just rotting away...
@@Class58001 048 started up a while back and that was a success, there's still a couple at Alizay, the French 58s were binned last year and 016 is still awaiting restoration (still in fertis and stored at Leicester.) 044 is still in France from what I've heard of.
@@njhtrains is it possible to get to see the one at battlefield??? As i went and couldn't see it as was all fenced off and tucked away.. unfortunately I went a little late in the day as there was no staff around.. i was going to ask if I could pay like donation tonthe railway to go and view and take some time looking around the loco . Not sure if thats is possible but a good idea 😂
