i don't know why anyone even bothers, those stupid serrated box edges don't even work. they rip only part of tin/aluminum foil before it starts tearing diagonally, and they just flat-out never work for wax paper or saran wrap. I just go get a pair of good ol' fashioned scissors and cut myself a good clean edge. Or better yet, just don't even bother and use a tupperware container. saran wrap sucks.

I saw an interview with FG’s writers saying that they all keep notepads with them everywhere they go so they can jot down anything that annoys/amuses them to use for cutaways later.

at least aluminum foil has other uses, such as oven-baking and grilling, electrical engineering, and can also be recycled. saran wrap is really bad for the environment, seldom does it's "preservation" job (a tupperware is far superior in every way and can also be microwaved) and you end up wasting a 1/5th of the box just to get an acceptable tear off the roll. they may as well just call it "satan wrap" and be done with it.
They play with your expectations that something more may happen, but nope, it's just a surprisingly well-animated but super realistic scene of Peter unraveling saran wrap.
