Uh, we played Germany in a friendly and beat them with what was basically a reserve team. We were missing Ferdinand, Cole, Walcott, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney and Heskey and still won.
I don't like England either. But regardless... They have an unbeaten streak and have been taking international teams like Germany down. Also, there still is English influence in South Africa. This means England will have a crowd to support them. In truth, England just may win this. They look like a team for a change and not snobbish British boys.
