Good thing my kids weren't home when I removed the crotch buckle. I tried a lot of different curse word incantations, and finally found the right combination. I also bent a screwdriver and broke a hammer.
Well, this seat is lovely looking, very stylish and looks comfortable. Graco have truly succeeded in preparing expectant parents in the birthing process by making it completely impossible to remove the crotch buckle. As my husband screamed 'PUSH', while I cried uncontrollably, I was whisked right back to that day in the birth centre. Fortunately giving up with this seat was much easier that giving up pushing a baby out of your body and the seat is not safely back at Halfords where it belongs.

Ok so proper instructions as follows: cut crotch belt in half and gently slide and remove. - pinch buttons together to easily remove top half... prepare yourself for melted nasty Chocolate, crayons, crumbs for days... - continue to vacuum, wipe down, use toothpick to easily remove gum and who knows what else... 🤣

I adjusted that crotch strap once 2 years ago. Pliers, sweating, a lot of cursing and a half hour later I had it adjusted. Mentally preparing myself to do this again! 😬
Umm just in case anyone wants to know it took me close to an hour just to get that damn crotch belt out!! That must be a fake car seat she’s using in the video! I about called the company to complain! I never want to have to do that again. Guess I’ll be using a diff booster for my youngest!! 😤
This car seat is amazing but oh my god is it ever hard to figure out how to take it apart and put it back together... Your video is really helpful though.

The straps on my Nautilus is not in that position. It’s in the bottom of the seat and I’ve watched several of these videos and it’s not the same as mine.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to remove the crutch buckle without scissors, injuring your finger(s) and/or struggling for at least 40 min a flashlight and a screwdriver.

My seats have will have plenty of shelf life on them for my youngest but they won't be able to use them because more than likey I'm going to end up cutting it before I end up divorced! Absolutely false. The only way to remove the crotch buckle is to CUT the crotch buckle. The only way to remove the harness straps is to CUT the harness straps.

i have not had a single graco that i can remove these! I always end up cutting out. Prob so we are forced to buy new ones to reuse the seat.
The trick is to put the short piece through the hole and then turn the buckle...I struggled 1.5 hours before finding another youtube video lol

😂 exactly! I just power washed my sons seat for same reason - goldfish and McDonald's fries - not to mention melted gummy and other candy lol

@@jbeckman8154 The crotch buckle is pretty short. It needs to be twisted at an angle or else it would come out.
It took me 10 seconds to remove the center buckle...
to take all straps on and off took me 10 mins

Cristy Lee Heath That was the hardest part. Angle it in and once it’s halfway through, yank it out from the buckle side.
Paris Sullivan we about took a hammer to it. Used a butter knife to help to push it through.
