I think it would be awesome if High School bands and drum corps would flash mob their shows at whatever city they visit. They are 9-minutes long for high schools. Folks forget it’s not just notes. It’s dynamics and articulation that truly puts a finishing polish on a piece. This may have been this orchestras first attempt. Why do a five minute piece if you are unsure of your audience reception? Hopefully their next one is longer, we will see :)

I like the way the strings timed there seats just right to bring the full orchestra. A trumpet or horn might raise attention but the strings produces the full emotion. John Williams should be proud and Lucas for the return of orchestra as sound track in movies.

ja genau deswegen gibts auch nen daumen runter... entweder man steht dazu und der sound ist bescheiden oder man lässt so eine Doku. und ja, das am ende der Mediathek theaser lauter als alles andere ist macht es deutlich das der wo es geschnitten hat noch weniger ahnung von garnicht's hat! Und ja ich hab erfahrung mit livesound aufnahmen... jede kamera hat minimum ein mono signal, dazu ok 2012 war die smartphonetechnik noch nicht so entwickelt, aber selbst da gab es schon stereo bandmaschinen für den mobilen einsatz!

Why can't people nowadays just stand and fucking ENJOY such a beautiful piece of music like this. It is more than enough that 90% rest of the people hold their phones up in the air and record it, one is sure to paste it on the internet, if for that matter, but it is more likely that such a flashmob will be recorded by the orchestra itself. So why not put down the stupid fucking phones and just listen and get goosebumps and smile like an idiot?
I agree, this is a plague of modern world. And it's everywhere too, zoo, botanical garden, every outside show or happening. I was recently on Howard Shore music concert and even there it was full of these god damned people with cameras or iphones (despite the fact its actually illegal there). Plus I bet most of these people would not sit down, choose the best pictures, make an album and return to these memories afterwards.
I personally would have filmed to save it for myself, to re-live that amazing moment. That's also why one would take wedding photos or film the ceremony
