I got stuck on one of those trails and took me all day to find my way off it, no fun at all, my buddy loved it, I like to ride not push, carry and pull my bike
This was me about a month ago. Type 2 fun at it's best. Probably in over my head, struggling, and at times not really sure why im doing it. But I think back and go, yeah that was fun.
That's a really difficult hard enduro single track. Give yourself some credit for overcoming most of that trail. I could never do what you accomplished.
Looks like a good time 😅 I love watching gnarly trails like this and would love to try it, even though I know I would struggle and this would kick my ass. Ride on 🤘
I struggle up this one too; haven't been up it lately. I rarely seem to get enough momentum to clear the step-ups and end up pushing the bike over the last little bit of them. Well done! That's a lot of work and effort.
I've done trails like this many times.. at age 53 I'm perfectly happy on fast flowing singletrack.. 3rd & 4th gear wide open.. I hope you figure out the right setup to master that trail. Good luck! 👍🏼
Hey man it's smart to stay humble, however I loved how you challenged and pushed yourself! What have we learned? Rock on brother! Tomorrow is just gonna get better I tell ya I'm an old guy
I think cocky = injury in my experience but Challenging and pushing the limits of skill level is the way I like to learn technique (not that there was a lot of technique in this video 😂) Thanks for your comment and support ,it’s much appreciated 🤙
It may have kicked your @$$ but you don’t get better by riding the easy stuff! I bet you will go back again and do better the second time. And doing that stuff on a 125 will build skill! I bought a tm 144 enduro to build skill. A year later and Im going places I never thought possible on my 300. Thanks for sharing
@@SingletrackGoons I think the worn out tire and the higher pressure is affecting your traction. You are definately not scared to get up those tougher trails. Is your rear tire a 19' if so that isnt helping out for the kind of riding you are doing
@@DeadEnduro oh for sure it’s affecting my traction..I’m going to spin it around and round off the other side of the treads before I go buy a new one.. any much lower tire pressure I run the risk of pinch flats and that is a pain in the ass🫏😂 Yes I run a 18” rim Thanks for you support..it’s much appreciated 🤙
@@SingletrackGoons I'd look at going TuBliss or Mousse. I'm currently running Mousse front and rear, but was running TuBliss before - I'd run 3.5-4psi in the rear with the TuBliss, for substantially better traction. The YZ is definitely harder to ride on these trails, as it doesn't like to 'lug' like enduro bikes do, which makes it harder to maintain traction. You'll find a better tire and lower pressure (either through TuBliss or a 'plushie' mousse) will give better traction, make it easier to get up and over obstacles and do less damage to the trail.
This trail is ride-able but you do need to have a higher skill base to do it. These skills are much easier to learn on a trials bike for sure. The more mistakes you make the more tired you get, the more tired you get the more mistakes you make. This is most definitely not a trail to learn on as it is a relentless beast, there are no are no sections where you can just ride to get your mojo back, no areas to take it easy...just straight up knar all the way up which just gets harder the higher you get. Good on you for trying but I hope for the trails sake you give yourself a chance to get better before tackling it again. Great video, thanks for sharing.
It’s an honour to have you watch and comment on my video , you are a legend on this mountain as far as I’m concerned Yes there are a lot of skills I need to improve on before I tackle this trail again , it’s definitely a trail that requires sustained momentum and obviously that wasn’t happening, unfortunately a trials bike is just not in the cards for me at the moment so I need to make the 125x work ..I’ll just keep pushing myself and learning as I go 🍻🤙
@@SingletrackGoons OMG a Legend, I sure hope that's a good thing LOL. But just in case you are serious, thank you. You made a great video, I watched it all the way through and enjoyed it. Keep up the great work, I know how much work it takes.
Definitely some gnarly terrain. You definitely need a Rekluse for that type of riding and then also it sounds like that bike “hits” way to fast. I’m a KTM guy so I dont know the adjustability of the power valve but it will make huge traction advantages
absolutely NOT a rekluse for this type of riding; need the fine clutch control. He did fine, could have used a bit more momentum but that comes in time and with experience, I'm sure these hills are gnarlier in person than they look on the screen.
Looks like a huge pain in the ass! haha Nice job and whats up with that YZ popping into neutral all the time? That would drive me nuts. I remember my YZs from the past always doing that too
Try riding a bike that is built for the task and bike to rider set up tire choice, gearing etc that is not an overly hard track but it's not getting f all traction and rebound circuit is extremely important on stuff like this

Agree.. I like to have fun when I ride..
You are right you had no business being on that trail
That's a rough one. Nice job for sticking to it
Thanks Ray🤙

Where is this trail?

Thats a beast of a goat trail dude! Good effort. Thanks for posting
Years of riding that shit helped me develop an upper body like Arnolds.
From all the pushing.

3rd gear pinned on that boulder section? 😂 send a vid please
It's a sad feeling when you get far enough into a trail and realizes your in way over your head. ARRRG !

Nice work - this trail is all about line choices.
Thanks so much 🤙
That’s a good one. Glad I was on my buddy’s Ktm 300 that day. 😅
Good effort, looks like Trials Bike would have been a better choice for that one 👍
Standing O for a killer effort bud! You showed that beast who’s boss! 🐝🏍️💨
I don’t know about that but thanks for your support man 🤙
Definitely a stout trail but you made it work.
That is a hard trail but your bike should be able to get up it without so much spinning . What rear tire and pressure are you running?
I run heavy duty tube in a worn shinko 505 at 9psi
Get rid of that 525 and go to jx8 or 81ex.

Can anyone tell me what CC that bike is it’s got a weird sound like small cc looks like a fun trail if you can embrace the suck😂

You have a gummy tire on it?
brilliant trail
Awesome job, thats some nasty trail.
Reported for motorcycle abuse....😉
Get yourself a Scott’s damper and get up on the pegs ✊🏻✊🏻 not a bad go 👍🏻

I was wondering the same thing about that popping into neutral all the time too. My YZ never did that.
Is this McNutt?
Yes
Your right that trail suked bad that's no rideing at all.
Wrong bike for that 100%
Thats a "trail" nice
Sure is 😂
That trail looks like a pain in the dong....probably fun on a beater or a pit bike, but i wouldn't want to take a good bike up it.

It doesn't help to be on a 125 I bet!

I dont know how people be riding in such bad trails.. i could do a jump easier on a horse and make it pass all these obstacles.
Wrong bike for that trail. Look for something European.
