Dude yes! Please more regicide! Even on your 1 v x, regicide seems to make a lot of sense because then a villager can't escape and come back with an imp army!

Kings add a fun additional layer to the game, I want to see maps with like a whole royal court.
King: If they die, you lose.
Queen: Villagers in radius work faster.
General: Replace starter scout, military bonuses in radius.
Bishop: Monk, better at healing, but can not convert. If garrisoned in a monastery, increase relic gold.
Advisor: Increase research speed in radius (probably excluding age ups).
Merchant: If teams or diplomacy, get a unique trade cart. It moves at like 60% speed, but you get 3x the trade gold. Can trade with ally Town Centers in addition to markets. So you are incentivized to actually protect it not just set it and forget it.

Could stop there, or make like a dozen of them and have it randomized which you get each game where you pick the Royal Court Size. 1 would be just like Regicide now. Then each one above that is a random additional royal court member you get to start the game.
That would be too much. Then everyone will learn to drush to get rid of elites and then gg in 10 mins. Play mythology. They have special expensive monster units. I think it’s the game for you
