Nice version of the great Hitchcock film. Lupino is fine as the new bride. Verna Felton (who did several voices for Disney animated films from 1940 through 1967) is perfect as the haughty Mrs. Van Hopper. Glad they got Judith Anderson for Mrs. Danvers ... unforgettably creepy in the movie. I like the Lux adaptations.
Verna Felton - How about that! She’s a fun Mrs. Von Hopper! I heard Agnes Moorehead play her in a radio version, and she was also excellent in a different way. Very American and amusing.
@@TheCoffeeCompanion Some have suggested that Ronnie thought it would be a woman's picture and that he would be pushed into the background. Colman would have been fantastic!

Ida Lupino is a wonderful radio actress. Ronald Colman is perfect.

Some of you may be aware that Ronald Colman was the first choice for the 1940 Hitchcock movie but turned it down.
I never knew that. Colman is great.
