Off the album THE GREATEST STORT NEVER TOLD - SHYHEIM, all wrote in prison, this man had a tough life, seems like some of us never get a break, makes me question life
Dude, this was like "Manchild Pt.II" to me! The Greatest Story Never Told wasn't a bad album but I felt it could've been alittle better. The Lost Generation album I believe was great! The production even the subjects on that album! But Manchild was his best last effort!
FrankWonderBeantown I wish he still made music like that but he's just fucked up right now. I'll still forever love his old shit it got me through hard times in life. Manchild is definitely that album, Lost Generation and AKA Rugged Child
Shys Flow Is Sick, Never Held Back, And He Got The Realest Storys, Shy Jus never got a break from the system, was Still In The Hood, In Prison, Or On The Run Throughout His Whole Career…And hed workd with the likes of Denzil Washington to Whitney houston, So when you listen to him u feel the sincerity In his Voice…He Made His Own Bed But With everything else But the Hit N Run, IDK, Thing Could Of Happend To Anyone Of Us, He Turnd Himself In Nextday… Condolences to the family, and shy stay up, shit happens Brother
It seems this was one of his last greatest songs in his career! Shyheim fell bad man...I don't know where Shyheim went wrong, since he wasn't working with the Wu no more with production it's like he went downhill but he opened his own label "Bottom Up Records" I wonder what happened to that label? He ain't been popping like he used to..
Damn...This is like "Manchild pt.2", but better...The real Shyheim we all knew died in '99 but I say in '04, b/c that was when Hip Hop was still alive foreal. I love it when he said "Hip Hop's my life", this song had to be his deepest throughout career. The beat is beyond great, legendary
@jamisturbo This is from 2004. Not quite his new stuff, but listen to the other tracks he did in '04 and it's the same vibe as his new ish. He has some decent and good stuff from '04. I feel the same way about his '08-'10 stuff of his, some is decent and some is really good. In a recent interview he said he's gonna be re-rhyming some of his old tracks from a different perspective. That sounds interesting, as long as it stays at the same quality level as the original with the reproduction.
I said this before I'll say it again..Damn...This is like "Manchild pt.2", but better...The real Shyheim we all knew died in '99 but I say in '04, b/c that was when Hip Hop was still alive foreal. I love it when he said "Hip Hop's my life", this song had to be his deepest throughout his career. The beat is beyond great, legendary!
+AnJoSantaKin Shit who you telling? Shyheim gotta get back to this style! Just spitting from the heart! He still got the flow for it! It's just times changed now he doing the music everyone else doing smh
