- The Skoda Octavia VRS has been one of the most influential cars in the Indian automotive scene. The tuning capabilities and the well rounded abilities of the Skoda Octavia VRS make it a really desirable car in India. But due to limited numbers being sold in India, the 2013-2017 F10 generation of BMW 530d M-Sport also looks like a performance bargain considering you find them under 30 lacs easily nowadays. The 530d M-Sport might be a diesel but it has a proper sports saloon setup with RWD and an Inline-6. The Skoda Octavia might be more purposeful in its pursuit of performance but the BMW is surely the superior one in terms of luxury and sheer road presence. Watch the video to find out more!

We are sooo sorryyy 😢. Even we had a drag race lined up but due to the lack of a decent and most importantly a "safe" road where we could've done it, we decided to chuck the idea 💔.

You can actually. I've driven the F10 530d AND the 630d GT, and in both the cars you have to correct the rear from sliding when you push the A pedal.
Great video,however a slight fact correction,the octavia Rs 230 is powered by a GTI motor not the one in the Golf R,the Ea888,that is 288 Bhp , and sends power to all four wheels,same engine is used in the European Superb Sportline😅
I was about to say that, I have this exact model 230 VRS TSI RS Challenge. As far as I know TSI version doesn't have 4x4
It's the same engine just different drivetrain and tune
I still own a red 2004 octavia VRS in Hyderabad (India)...it is still better than a 2019 model 320i BMW in space and performance...a true performance machine and a pride to be a owner.
320i is naturally aspirated but Rwd

Was invited to the VRS 245 launch event at the Sahara city air strip. But we drove there from Pune in a 530d and came back underwhelmed in comparison for a car that poses to be a fast car.

Nice review. Pl have a review on Abarth punto . I have one and believe me it’s a quick one and throws you back on to the seat when u push it hard .You can compare it with current gen turbo petrols

Gr8 hatch that Indian enthusiasts had as an option for a short while at a reasonable price. However, at 140bhp it doesn't hold a candle to these 2 sedans which are in different league altogether!
BWM won in the interior looks, exterior looks, and performance. Even though it’s almost 10 years old, it doesn’t look outdated at all. It’s a shame 530 is not available in petrol and they didn’t bring 535i in India 😔.

Bmw 330i can be compared with vrs 245 and bmw easily smokes vrs. Atleast skoda should provide a rwd for the price

Damn what happened to the BMW designers, none of their new cars have this charisma, be it exterior or interior. MB is doing much better in these areas.

Nothing's wrong with a diesel! Except that ofcourse petrol cars are much more responsive and make a better sound and "real" sportscars are meant to be petrol. But this 530d M-Sport is a great example that even diesel cars can be fun!

The VRS has become so expensive that I rather strech the budget and get a 330i any day.

Come down to hyderabad. We have the highest collection and number off super and hyper cars . And we have more selfmade and rich people. This is the reason there are more super cars and HyperCars in Hyderabad than Maharashtra

Both are very heavy to be fun. The skoda is a FWD sedan but with good power that's it. The BMW has a diesel but is RWD. Both are poor choices.

Vrs interiors looks same as old gen swift. Maybe good for a sub 15lks rupees car. Extremely dull, boring and lousy interiors. Will definitely make the passengers vomit out of disgust
Seriously dude? Sorry to say, but you clearly don't know what alcantara is. As a matter of fact even a high end sports car like Lamborghini Urus uses alcantara interiors. Besides someone buying a VRS would give first priority to performance.
@@yateshasher4872 nobody buys a lamborghini for interiors. Even the owners have a lot of videos where they say interiors are one of their dislikes. If you wanna see real interiors, check out the Bentley continental gt and flying spur.
Fact is that all the interior bits of vrs are taken from vw parts bin which come from golf, seat Leon etc which are sub 20 lakh worth hatchbacks. Interiors from bmw 5 series comes from 7 Series which is a 1cr + worth car. Octavia owners look up to the ones having a 530d and wanna get there some day.
Vrs is still a front wheel drive puny 2ltr turbo.
