The person who made that afghan should be applauded immensely! Many many years ago, I asked my grandmother to knit me some black mittens. She did, bless her heart, but did inform me afterwards that it would be the LAST time she ever used black yarn to knit anything. It’s very hard on the eyes to use black yarn. So…that being said, can you imagine how hard it would have been to make that one you have? It is simply fabulous! 🥰👍

Loved the coverage of resellers bargaining on a t-shirt! I recently struck up a conversation at GW with a woman who was not a reseller but when she found out I am, she started bringing items to me. Most were not right for my store, but she found an Eskandar 100% linen sweater from Neiman Marcus for me that sells for $1000+ new at retail (GW priced at $5.99)!

New in the box for puzzles and games, unless you’re selling parts. I’ve sold one game and it was new in the box. I told three plastic magnetic puzzles-one was Disney that were vintage 60’s. They were plastic pieces which adhered to a magnetic board.

I don't sell a lot of games. However if they are cheap enough like under $1 and have trivia type cards in them I get them and use the cards as box toppers in my packages. I have purchased several Trivial Persuit, Would You Rather and Disney Trivia type games. Just makes a fun exta to pop in the box on top of their packages.

    • @sassysquirrelstash1612

    • @MsJLo75
      @MsJLo75 3 года назад +2

@@sassysquirrelstash1612 just a little cute gift I throw together to stick on top of my packages. I usually wrap all my items in cute tissues paper before placing in the box or polymailer. So I will put like one card from each game and if I know it’s a female item I will add an elastic hair tie. Just a cute little something extra.

Love the steam punky octopus! So adorable. Love him too. Games, yes I've sold a few pre-opened games. One was especially popular due to COVID, it was a disney trivia game. I bought for $5 sold for $48 but it took several months. It was pre-opened but new never played and all pieces there. I sold a few puzzles too. A duo set of pre-owned disney puzzles sold for $40 but no I did not know if complete. Sold as is in a few weeks and got good feedback. I have a stack of used puzzles I want to do myself first...then list LOL but I never have time to do them! May have to just sell...but so far still have them. Hey, I had a thought. You keep mentioning the Langenburger? baskets. I always see nice baskets when I'm shopping but I wouldn't know a Langenburger from any other. Would you do a video on your basket finding? How did you find out about Langenburger? How do you look for it? are they marked? What do you pay for them? What do you sell them for, etc? Are there some you don't get? Etc. .I am interested in that. Maybe another on pottery. I LOVE pottery too. I have quite a few pieces. I keep them LOL, not for selling. I have a couple mugs I am trying to sell but they are duds....I didn't comp first. Ok Love your vids...was fun to watch the guys banter. Happy Thrifting and Selling!

Hi Rosemary! Michelle and I have crazy schedules so we don’t get to hang out a lot, I think she is posting regularly 💜

I’m a big fan, but would like to ask: please buy a stainless steel water bottle. The sight of all those plastic water bottles made me so sad.

I’ve researched this! I drink a large amount of water every day! So I would have to bring 6-8 reusable bottles with me every day … some days im on the road 8-10 hrs….and if I run out… I have to stop and buy plastic bottled water. Then I have to wash all those reusable bottles every day! Big amount of work and Huge amount of wasted water for the care of the bottles… or I can recycle the plastic “ disposable” bottles which will be turned into other products. The “reusable “ way is not always “greener” 🥰

Do they sell spring water in stainless steel?

There are plenty of people who work all day and use reusable water bottles. As long as there is a market for bottled water in plastic, we’ll never make a dent in our plastics problem. Very sad.

Do you ever get tired of going to goodwill and thrift shops? I have been selling online for years and I have got to the point where I hate thrifting.

Have you considered reducing the amount of plastic waste by utilizing reusable water bottles?

    • @lavenderclothesline

The amount of water I carry & drink in a day is crazy! It would necessitate wasting a lot of water on washing the containers to carry it that way every day ..I recycle the bottles so the are turned into useful products

Do they sell spring water in anything but plastic?

@@lavenderclothesline yes, glass bottles and you can have Spring Water delivered in most places as well which reduces the need for more plastic bottles. Spring water is a gimmick, it’s really no different than tap as the water typically flows into the same processing centers. You should be able to find information on the US Gov sites if you care to research further. Also, most bottles aren’t recyclable unfortunately and still end up in the landfills. Any way, no judgements. I’d say I just care a bit more about the environment than the average American.

Ok - you mentioned the adult diapers, so I'm going to say this: I understand, believe me!, when someone who has been quite sick, dies - you just want to offload the leftovers especially for the sick care! And that's fine, especially b/c things are so expen$ive. TO A DEGREE. Please, please, please! I gag every time I see a home commode in a video or in the wild - toss that *old shit* out!

My parents lived in a Senior complex in Florida for about 30 years. They passed about 3 years apart. Many residents were also very elderly.
I went over to the clubhouse and asked if I could donate wheelchairs, walkers and canes to the community. They were delighted.
They kept some in the building for folks to borrow while there, and some were available to give to folks who needed them to keep.
As my parents had been active in clubs and organizations there throughout the years, their photos with the groups were hanging on walls throughout the building. It seemed to be the most appropriate place to donate things my family no longer needed.
