Qatar is in the midst of expanding its LNG export capacity, increasing from 77 million tons per annum to 126 million by 2027. Along with a new supply agreement with global energy companies to purchase Qatari gas until 2050, the two-phase project will cement Qatar as one of the top global LNG exporters for decades. How will Qatar’s LNG expansion impact gas markets and the global energy landscape?
At this event, expert panelists delved into issues of investment partnerships, destination markets for gas supply, and the practicalities of expanding fossil fuel exports amid global decarbonization goals.
