You would never think, judging by these Home Movies, that Production on This movie was an absolute Nightmare, not only that, but the long hours, intense heat from the lights needed for The Technicolor, and the uncomfortable wardrobe and make-up, not to mention the near fatal accidents that happened to Margaret Hamilton and Buddy Ebsen. And Judy was mistreated and abused the whole time!
That's because all the "horror" stories behind the wizard of oz are either exaggerated or didn't happen. This footage shows Judy Garland having a lot of fun, and even bantering with one of her co stars, yet so many people such as yourself still believe in things like how everyone supposedly abused Judy Garland
Judy was not abused or mistreated at any time; she was too lovable for that. The hours were the same as on any movie, the lights were shut off every half hour so people could relax, and HELLO! uncomfortable costumes and make-up have always been a part of the acting profession.
This alone is visual evidence that the 'horror' stories about the Wizard of Oz set aren't so credible, but people still believe the set was the equivalent to hell. People can be so stubborn.

Wonderful. There is no smile more beautiful and nice to see than a beaming Judy Garland smile.

So nice. Beautiful✨ Touched with tears.
Yea it looks so beautiful and wonderful until you look at the dark side of the real behind the scenes of this film.
@@mrwhovian4178 There was no "dark side." There was just hard work, as in any movie production.

Movies are hard work, they always have been. The pleasure comes in seeing the finished product. 🙂

Same, She went through a lot.
Same. She dealt through so much hell during the filming.
I love her smile though but I agree so much pain she went through. I couldn’t imagine living only on soup broth for food while filming a.movie.

Herbert Stothart’s incidental music for this classic film is so charming and evokes childhood dreams.
