  • This time lapse video demonstrates how to lay out a drawing with perfect accuracy using the sight size method. The footage was taken from a live Zoom class held at my school, Rivera Fine Art Studios. I teach this method to my students in the foundational stages using Old Master drawings and paintings. This helps to train their eyes to “see” accurate shapes while they also learn the historical techniques and tools of a master artist. The advantage to learning how to draw this way, is that the same principles can be applied to drawing from a live set up, such as a still life or even a live model. For more information on my live and prerecorded classes, please visit the links below. Enjoy the video and thanks for watching!
