Fight Night Hearthstone in season 2 features thew same two teams as season 1 but the matchups will be completely different as the wheel decides once more! Can Team "DogeHouse" step up their game and secure some more wins over Team "Other Team No Name Yet" than in season 1 or will the Americans dominate once more?
Tune in for this second team round in which we are going to see different matchups and another exciting best of 5 between Team "DogeHouse" and Team "Other Team No Name Yet".
In this Episode Artosis faces famous streamer Trump for the first point on the scoreboard.
The first 3 minutes made me really uncomfortable for some reason. it's weird.

to this day i'm still mad that artosis topdecked that win.
he came in like a cocky sack of shit, called trump bad, and proceeded to win because of pure luck in an otherwise unwinnable situation. he drawed the only card in his entire deck that could answer, and he won. god it makes me so pissed.
wow..Artosis was incredibly lucky with all his draws with his mage...every turn he had was so lucky.

Zango True, but with better balancing, it doesn't have to be this dependent on luck. Artosis essentially dodged bullets multiple times in a row.
Yes, any kind of card draw doesn't guarantee anything and it shouldn't, but Artosis quite clearly lucked out twice here. I agree that some of the card draw combos really rolled the dice in his favour, but... man, I don't know. Perhaps a best of 5 games would have been much better to eliminate more of the element of chance.
In my humble noob opinion, Trump had the more stable deck going, less situational and with average odds just better (read: reliable) decks altogether. Does this mean this game favours situational decks over reliable decks most of the times?
It's kind of dumb the particular decks lost here (especially the Paladin one), even when I ultimately couldn't really care less. It's a game, this was exciting to watch and both players did well.
PHeMoX It does not mean the game favours situational or "luck based decks"... Playing the more luck-based decks means you have high risk, high reward.... if you don't get those lucky draws then the decks are pretty useless.

zythH oklm It is not your choice to believe or not. There is no luck. What you consider luck is just a calculation and a number that gets drawn out. A game of chance or whatever you prefer to call it. You call double 6 on dice roll luck, I call it 1/36 chance. What's the chance of tossing 10 heads on a coin toss in a row? Same as any other combination that can be tossed. But people tend to believe they have something to do with the draw/toss or whatever, when in truth they don't. Calling someone lucky or unlucky suggests that because he is (un)lucky something happened to him and it wouldn't if someone else did the same. A load of BS.
petar vojinovic It is my choice, I can chose to be Atheist, Catolic or Satan or whatever, same as luck, I believe there is, when we shuffle the cards there is the factor luck if the best card is in the end or in the start, the card what ends can be the first card you take or the last of the deck, for me there is luck no mather what you say, idc, a card game is 35% luck 35% skill 30% your maths for me.
Late in game 4 that production mistake comes up again, where the player cams are incorrect, so it shows/indicates the wrong player. You would think considering that this is a prerecorded show AND the same mistake was made in last week's videos, that this kind of problem wouldn't be showing up AGAIN, buuuuuuuut no.
Artosis definitely didn't deserve that win.

Eh. Its how the thing is setup. In specific MtG tourneys, there is no clock except the amount the judge has in patience. :P He can even declare your opponent a winner if you intentionally take too long.

Wickedturd Magic: the Gathering has much less RNG. Very few of the cards say randomly do something. The most RNG has to do with it is card draw.

Artosis played well not sure why people are saying it was pure luck. He took risks and in half the games they paid off in the other half it game Trump the game. Just because Trump played safe/controlling/0risk doesn't mean he should of won. In the end though mage OP.

Artosis was the luckiest person I've ever seen in a match. Every single RNG went his favor in the last 3 games. If Trump had gotten one thing right in his favor in those last 3 games, he would have easily won the series.

"Metagame" means that the way you should play and build a deck depends on how your opponents play and which cards they play.
For example, against a spell-heavy mage (who relies on a burn win condition) taunt creatures are pretty useless.
On the other hand, taunts and tempo cards (like Frost Novas) shut down the rush decks.
