Hmm seems I put it together fine except don't remember seeing an o-ring for where the collection cup attaches. Could it have been pre-installed? Any helpful videos for how to set up the sump? Tank has 3 pipes routed to the sump one is connected to the return pump, one will take the water from the tank idk what the 3rd is for and I also am not sure what sections of the sump each pipe should lead to and where to place the return pump.. thought I'd try and save a trip to the lfs and look online for help:)
+waterkeeper03 The controller can be used in many different situations: Feed mode: Give your skimmer a 10m nap while you feed to prevent over skimming When adding chemicals: Many chemicals make a skimmer go nuts, by being able to turn it way down you can still skim out these components that make a skimmer go nuts but do so without overflowing. (for example when you replace your filter sock, you can turn the skimmer way down, give it 30m then turn it back up to prevent over skimming). When the water is too deep: In the event your Simplicity Skimmer overflows even with the wedge pipe "arrow to arrow" you can turn the skimmer down a couple of ticks to prevent this. This would be the result of water that is too deep.
@@SimplicityAquatics I can get the feed button to actually stop the skimmer, but have not been able to figure out the adjustment to flow. Where can one get some operating instructions?
Hello Inferno Outdoors, I would not recommend 9" of water with a 120. You can make it work by slowing down the pump but it would likely over skim if operating normal. If you have room height wise you can always set it on an upside down tupperware or similar stand. Feel free to give us a phone call if you want to discuss how you can make it work. Thanks for writing.
Pump definitely does not slid in like that. Almost broke it trying to get it to slide in just decided to shave down the pump
Seriously this is a fucking joke
$200 and I can’t get the pump to slide on because it wasn’t fabricated correctly or wasn’t quality checked before sent out or sold
@@emmasfishfriends3840 yep I hear ya, file it down if you haven’t already. That’s what I had to do working fine since.
@@justins8438 bahah I improvised and cut some of the sides of with a nail clipper 🤣😅🤪 don’t need a man bahahahaha ya right
Thank you for the video. Do you have any videos of the skimmer running?

I don’t have a o ring either. Was it a problem for you?
Mine didn’t come with an o ring. Is that a problem?
would love more info on the controller and it's part in the function

Looks good. A live demo would be great.
What is the maximum water level sump height for the 120? My water level is at 9” will the 120 DC work in my sump?
