@@imauz1127 if ur producing rock music ur probably gonna use real drums but if you're producing club music or something similar, definitely in that case u will be using samples

Your snare sounds gorgeous. Fill me in please.
My snare sounds almost identical to his, so I can help you out. Tune it high and find a happy medium to put your snare wires at. (Not too tight, not too loose). If you want a clean sound I would recommend a 2-ply or hydraulic snare head such as an Evans Hydraulic or a Remo Emperor for a bright and clean sound (I personally use the emperor) Tune it every month or so to make sure it doesn’t loosen up from playing it. Also, and I can’t stress this enough, USE AN O-RING

Appreciate these Tips to enhance my playing drums - even after a 50 Year Hiatus (1969). At 71, I play about 1 hour a day to MY MUSIC for recreation. Never too late to learn and enjoy. The best part is when I am able to play certain grooves or beats that were more difficult the other day. It is Kinda like a gift to be able to play an instrument. Happy Drumming all.

Nice - I remember when I first started when I figured that out. It was very freeing. It turned out to be a good asset - as doing 'linear' grooves should be effortless not filled with 'thought' Then you find out so many drummers have a hard time with fills - which I find odd.
