Alice (Pugh) and Jack (Styles) are lucky to be living in the idealized community of Victory, the experimental company town housing the men who work for the top-secret Victory Project and their families. The 1950’s societal optimism espoused by their CEO, Frank (Pine)-equal parts corporate visionary and motivational life coach-anchors every aspect of daily life in the tight-knit desert utopia.
While the husbands spend every day inside the Victory Project Headquarters, working on the “development of progressive materials,” their wives-including Frank’s elegant partner, Shelley (Chan)-get to spend their time enjoying the beauty, luxury and debauchery of their community. Life is perfect, with every resident’s needs met by the company. All they ask in return is discretion and unquestioning commitment to the Victory cause.
But when cracks in their idyllic life begin to appear, exposing flashes of something much more sinister lurking beneath the attractive façade, Alice can’t help questioning exactly what they’re doing in Victory, and why. Just how much is Alice willing to lose to expose what’s really going on in this paradise?
An audacious, twisted and visually stunning psychological thriller, “Don’t Worry Darling” is a powerhouse feature from director Olivia Wilde that boasts intoxicating performances from Florence Pugh and Harry Styles, surrounded by the impressive and pitch-perfect cast.

Wilde directs from a screenplay penned by her “Booksmart” writer Katie Silberman, based on a story by Carey Van Dyke & Shane Van Dyke (“Chernobyl Diaries”) and Silberman. The film is produced by Wilde, Silberman, Miri Yoon and Roy Lee, with Richard Brener, Celia Khong, Alex G. Scott, Catherine Hardwicke, Carey Van Dyke and Shane Van Dyke executive producing.
Wilde is joined behind the camera by two-time Oscar-nominated director of photography Matthew Libatique (“A Star Is Born,” “Black Swan”), production designer Katie Byron (“Booksmart”), editor Affonso Gonçalves (“The Lost Daughter”), Oscar-nominated composer John Powell (“Jason Bourne”), music supervisor Randall Poster (“No Time to Die”) and costume designer Arianne Phillips (“Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood”).
I went to see the movie as a Harry fan and ended up loving Florence Pugh. Not that I did not like my boy, he played good, considering he is not an actor never taken any acting class, but her…. She is insanely talented, and her acting comes so natural . She truly , deeply, madly earned my respect as an actress. Chris and Gemma, own their role with class. The movie itself…. Please tell the other Harry fans to leave Olivia alone. They are toxic AF. The woman did a great job with the movie: Casting perfect, the acting phenomenal, the plot exciting, and great storytelling. I swear I have never seen a more toxic fanbase.

Harry Styles when asked about the song Olivia that HE WROTE for the last album MADE IN THE AM while with his boyband 1D. Edit: his fanbase is not toxic. His fanbase is magnificent. They follow him in concerts, states and countries, they listen to his songs, they love him so much, same way He loved Olivia( the girl) in the song he wrote for. He says” I live for you, I long for you Olivia”. Universe is returning Harry the love throughout his fans. They live and long for Harry. That is why I am saying they re not toxic. Don’t worry darling part 2 was showed Thursday on New York Streets between Harry and number 2 Olivia, the one from the movie. I am an official fan of Florence Pugh. This young actress is sensational! As much as I love Harry Styles, Florence carried the whole film in my opinion.

I thought this movie was amazing and had me in suspense from start to finish. Florence Pugh was phenomenal!
This movie was fantastic. I watched it when it first came out and I can’t stop watching it til this day. All the little bits and hidden things in this movie they all makes sense in the end just amazes me. For example: The red plane Alice saw that crashed in the desert is the same toy plane that Margaret’s son had when they went out there. Or when Alice was in the kitchen and her eye kept irritating her, it was because in the real world the things Jack put in her eyes to keep them open were irritating her. The song Jack would sing to Alice in the real world while she was strapped to the bed was the same song Alice kept humming in the fake world. Her friend Pam was always pregnant, but she was also always drinking alcohol because the kids weren’t real so the alcohol wouldn’t have even done anything to the “baby” inside her. Frank “hated” tuna so Alice didn’t make it for the party but it was really Jack that hated tuna because he was only eating tuna in the real world. Margaret’s son “disappeared” in the desert because like I said, the kids aren’t real so when they went out there he disappeared… and so much more. But I love this movie and it’s truly one of my top 5 favorite movies.
I watched it yesterday and loved it too! Even though this kind of script (simulation,"matrix") has already been done a few times), I think it's well executed and the imaging is beautiful. Casting is also on point. I watched this movie because of Harry Styles but it was a great surprise, wasn't expecting a twisted plot. Thank you for sharing these hidden details in the movie which haven't yet occurred to me

He's not a liar nor a manipulator. Olivia Wilde has shown that she's doesn't know him one bit and based her movie on prejudices.
I came here to see the trailer after hearing about that whole Jordan Peterson reference but I left thinking it felt more like a 1950's Andrew Tate lol

She says he and his cult like ideology is the reason why she made this movie. everyone except some ignorant Olivia Wilde simp fans are disappointed because Jordan Pearson is a person who has help so many normal people and celebs! And recently Cristiano Ronaldo invited Jordon to his house because CR needed help. Like, Jordon's book has made some kind of a good impact in my life which many of other book failed to do so.

Watched the movie yesterday! It was worth every second. Great actors. I was surprised how well Styles fit the role. The other actors proved this in many movies before. (Florence in Midsommar!!! ) It seemed, as if Styles had played in many movies before as well. I am looking forward to watch this movie again in original sound without german dubbing (although it was well synchronized).

I watched it twice very reminiscent of the 1950s right after World War II when people were living in the suburbs and everything was excellent the men went to work the women stayed home and cooked cleaned raise the family simpler times.

And nothing against Jordan peeled but until Olivia Wilde *says* it's an homage to Jordan Peele, we can't go there. I had a chance to go see it today and decided to save my money. Too many reviews saying that it's all of this built up to a revelation but then adds nothing to the conversation

I'm so glad I watched this movie on Netflix and didn't pay money or leave the house to find out this was the worst movie I have ever seen, but it was also just a just like slightly different take (not much btw) on Stepford Wives. Yes, I understood it, no I'm not a Harry Styles groupie so don't bother coming at me for my opinion.
You are not alone. I hated this movie. Someone had to pay all these commenting on how good it is.
I am very impressed by both of these actors! Harry styles very much exceeded my expectations, however. I love Florence Pugh, as well. Well done!

This movie is a little similar to an X-Files episode, Arcadia, where Mulder and Scully go undercover as a couple to this creepy and wealthy community where everyone had to follow the same rules and do same things or else they would suffer the consequences 🤔
