I am so thankful to have found your vlogs on EMDR. I will start this on June 4th. I’m nervous, but at least I know a little more about what I will go through, thanks to you! - Becky
Hay I'm really glad you are sharing your experience. Please keep going. If not just for you but remember in the future someone may need what info you offer. I know i enjoy your authenticity and openness.
Thank you for sharing your vulnerability. I am a 20 year veteran of the Albuquerque Fire Department. My wife is a mental health counselor with EMDR and trauma being her specialty. We are forming a committee to assist with PTSD in our department and I am a committee member. Today I have found your Vlog and am thinking of using your vlog as a real life exampled documentation of the process and benefits of EMDR and trauma. I am having difficulty finding your session 3 and 4. Wondering if you can help me with this. You are brave. Many people are scared to actually do the work needed to get to the other side. That is the reason I would like to recommend your videos in succession for people to see the progression of better understanding and mental health given your own trauma. Thanks again if you can help with the session 3-4
Hi! I just started doing EMDR a couple of weeks ago for a lot of PTSD trauma work and have found it tremendously helpful! I haven't finished your video yet and unsure if you use the eye type or hand impulse type. Anyway good work! and a word of advise-- I wouldn't share your sweet energy with JR Murphy down there. He's in a pretty negative head space and is using that to be attacking towards others. I think boundaries are such an important part of recovery and learning to disengage with those who are being disrespectful--you don't owe him a dialogue
Thank you for sharing your journey. It's helpful for so many. You're courageous for engaging in it and for sharing it. Please keep posting or at least post an update. There will always be haters - please don't let Mr. Murphy's hateful manner dissuade you. Bless you in your recovery.
thank you for sharing your experiences about EMDR with us ... you are such a strong woman .... my EMDR therapy starts next week and i'm afraid of it but your videos help a lot ... wish you the best 💫❤
These videos are incredibly helpful! I will be starting in two weeks and was very nervous but feeling g better and more optimistic after following your journey!
Can you update us now 3 years later as to how you feel? Do you think you can explain EMDR in itself? However, there are days it does feel good to just have a "goof counseling session" I totally get that
I did my first session today of actually working through the trauma. I’m feeling tired and a little nervous to fall asleep. I know that’s probably when the difficult reprocessing happens. I struggled with remembering details of my memory during the session. I saw my memory as pictures, so it was tricky to get into detail. Anybody have any tips for that?
Maria Ravelli I think that with each session you’ll find your brain will work and recover things gradually! At least that’s the way it has been with me ❤️ I don’t know if that answers your question or not but I’m so proud of you for doing this! It’s hard work and not easy❤️
Can I ask how much you share with your husband? Does he go to therapy with you ever? If you don't want to share, that's fine. None of my business.. I was just was wondering because I know my husband has been hurt a lot due to my behaviours from the trauma I haven't dealt with.
Please keep showing your journey. After months of my own tramatic experience I am going to my first EMDR appointment tomorrow.
Thank you for your input! I’ll be thinking about you tomorrow as you start this journey!! You can do this ❤️
How has it been friend? Wishing you the best 🙏🏾💙👑
