I can't be the only one who thinks Tower Shields are kinda crap, right? You get a higher BASE block rating at the cost of 20% movement speed, but you're giving up a higher POTENTIAL block rating if you hit the generous parry window, as well as stunning the enemy and dealing double damage to it after you parry, at the cost of a measly 5% movement speed.
I think you're right in some ways, but I think the tower shields are pretty effective in the tight areas in tombs etc, in the open areas maybe not so much.
@@PlayGames_PG oh I did lol we got the flux but mann. Turns out the tar slimes fight the goblins and kill them pretty quickly. But sheesh plains biome is a nightmare
I love Valheim but after the Meadows and Black Forest and perhaps the swamp I felt the biomes went a bit off, like the balancing was all over the place in terms of progression.
@@PlayGames_PG agreed there’s a huge gap once you get into the other biomes. To be confident in the plains biome seems like you need silver and in the plains biome you get dark metal which is late game stuff. So there’s a huge gap and a huge struggle point meanwhile swamp you get iron which is good for swamp and meadows you get bronze which is good for meadows. Those two make sense and is rewarding
@@PrplexedMG Lul what? You get flint in the meadows which will get you into the black forest. In the black forest you get copper and tin which will get you into the swamp. In the swamp you get iron which will get you into the mountains and in the mountains you get silver which will get you into the plains. Lastly, in the plains you get black metal which will get you into the mistlands and soo enough you will use the carpace from the mistlands to get into the ashlands. Seriously, the armour progression is completely fine.

Great video, like the other guy said, appreciate the historic info!
Thank you, I tried to add something different to make it more interesting.
Luv the catwalk, underrated channel
Thanks, took a little while to get right but will use it again for another guide :) Thanks for the support.
Very nice. Ty
You're welcome and thanks for watching.
Great information, liked the history side facts.
Thank you, tried to add some things to flesh it out other than a viking strutting up a catwalk :D :D

What shield is good for parrying goblins (if you just started going into the plains and are trying to fight against goblins and deathsquitos
It has been a while since I played it, honestly, the plains are a nightmare at first, bring friends!

Your shield model seems drunk 🤣
I think you may be on to something there haha
