I strongly recommend Oysi frames with a rocker. I personally have 72 Compass wheels with 60mm inside, and those Gazelles in and out of grinds feel delicious. Also it's great for manouvering and saving yourself from bails and falls.
I just bought the Gawds FM4 skates. First pair I've bought since the late 90s. I came anti rocker with flat profile wheels. I'll be buying some 50 50 frames from you or my local shop. Literally go up on skates for the first time in almost two decades. Happy to say I didn't fall once.
It ist nice to see the Gear Talks. The enthusiasm is infectious. I've checked my old salomons and found the perfect flat frame is a heavily used one, on rough ledges. And the rollover grooves ones like the oysi frames. The recess on the side of the groove is underestimated.
Super grateful y'all are making 56mm wheels. Them has stopped making 56. Regardless of quality, it was nice to have a wheel this size. And the profile y'all are doing is really similar. Stoked for it. Thank you.
That’s a low frame man. Lol like too low I feel trick wouldn’t look very good either since the geometry for royals is going to be so minimal you will look like your almost standing flat on the rail or ledge.
@@NOISlights For anti, yeah royales would be too ez lol. I was thinking a flat frame like FluidV or FLT4 but with 56mm max.. Royales would still be pretty deep cuz the groove shape, if that makes sense
I've tried a few different frames in a flat set up and I have figured out my favourites. Depending on how I am feeling, I either use Kizer Fluid 5 with 56mm wheels or the GC Mega with 64mm. Wasn't a fan with flat on the 50/50 balance reissues but that's not an issue as they are my favourite antirocker frames. Keep up the good work Law, just picked up a set of the ready to roll Compass 80mm frames from Loco here in the UK and they have blown me away. Amazing work!
Fluid v with 50/50 58mm is great! You just need to abuse them and get a groove going. I have tried the them frames and even with 55mm and still got hung up a few times, but that’s just my bad technique. If I can re mortgage the house I will get some diridari frames next.
Oysi are my favorite flat frames for sure. I’m a Boomer-Blader, so the bigger wheels and flat set up help me get some decent speed. This is helpful because I’m a big dude and need all the help I can get.
Law: K2 doesn't make aggressive anymore because.. they're a bunch of bitches... (amazing line XD) Random person: this is a little off-topic... Law: Nothings off topic its gear talk. Thanks soo much for everything.
Favourite flat frame? Well I'm a little biased xD. Thanks for the little plug and I can't wait to try your 56mm wheels with the 65s in my walls, you're right 56mm there isn't a lot of options
great video, seeing this video really made me want to get back into skating and get my son started out in it too... also love the helmet initiative, not enough people wear them in my opinion
Nice to see more 56mm wheels, they look real good! Best ones I've seen so far are the Go Project Elliptical Shape 56mm, nice and rounded. Also a really good flat 60 frame is the Kizer Element 2.0 flat 60 and now they've finally released the plastic h block they're even better.
Yo Law!!!!! Quick note about the Helmet Initiative….it is always awesome that you stress the need for safety and that Helmet Initiative and you give away a free helmet to someone that needs one. Just an odd observation about Powerslide and their team videos….i always see most of them without helmets and i usually leave a comment about it and how gnarly it would be at their speeds ….I have noticed that they really just disregard the safety of the ol’ Braincase. I will be on the lookout for GearTalk Ep.100!!!!
I've been looking at buying a pair of aggressive skates. The last skates I had were a pair of Rollerblade Chocolates with the bolt on soul plates, Scribe grind plates and anti rocker wheels. I've been doing a little research and the Roces M12s look like the same boot. Should I just buy a stock set of skates or should I buy the boots and put my own setup together? Recommendations would be appreciated. I'm kind of set on the Roces M12 boots.
Able were my 1st aftermarket flat set up on my RB Trs Estillos. That H block plus it's solid construction had great power transfer and good grind feel broken in.
kaltik v1's are fantastic frames. great value too. The fact they're still available after about 20years is testimony enough. I'd recommend trying some out. surely Grant would lend you a pair.
I have some mery munoz kaltiks and they're awesome. The groove is so deep it almost makes me feel like I'm cheating to get boot down. The wheel bite protection is almost comically large. I think they're the most perfect flat frames short of oysi.
To the questions asker about the size 9 Factions - 276mm will not fit. The inside dimensions of the boot are 275mm and even my 265mm foot was quite snug to start with.
California is a massive state, you’re clearly not from so cal or central cal if you think we don’t need ac hahaha it gets up to 115 degrees where I love north of LA hahaha
Its probably because the frame is very stiff/ridged so all the pressure goes straight to the wheels.. This is a good thing. Probably a good idea to get harder wheels..
Not at all, I have used my 909 Brain Dead’s in the last months and wheels are still solid. Maybe it’s an issue with bearing spacers? Them frame is one of the easiest for rotating your wheels.
Flat wise the Aeons are the correct set up for me. I really rate the 50/50 58mm 90a’s on the Aeons. Also tried the Deads 92a’s and 95a’s which are also good. Currently skating the Red Eye 55mm team 92a’s which have given me a ton of confidence. @backtoblading can you please do more runs on the 58 bullets with a 92a cus i love that profile for flat! I massively rate 50/50 wheels, i have them on most of my skates.
I'm just so happy you're around. You are so so helpful. Thank you for everything you do. So very much. ✌️
fr the only dude who could talk about interesting skate sh*t for 2 hours lol

Hopefully some 56mm frames come out now!!! That's what we need! Even better if you can use 58mm max with soulplate mod..

Best breakdown of the Oysi frame I’ve seen yet. You should clip out that part and make it it’s own video.

The k2 frame is amazing or flat. Someone please bring it back :-(
happy early birthday, brotha! always love your streams, thanks for the hard work 🙏
Really excited to hear you're puttin 56mm wheels out! The profile looks perfect. If you come out with those in 92a I'll skate those wheels forever
an thank you for clearing that up about the whole oysi wish thing!!! good to know!
I’m here for the 56mm 92a wheels please
Yo Law!!!!!

Can’t wait for the 56mm to drop I will be ordering a few set to put on my og GC 1 and og creates
Don't stare at your liberty cores too long! best advice in 99 episode's 🙌😂😂😂

Yeah. The m12 is a classic and will fit similarly to your old Chocolates. I’d get one of the signature models like the Hazelton

They look so goofy though.
@@thatmountain most of look goofy regardless of what frames.
56 mm and 92a would be sick
Yes! Looking for a good flat frame right now :)
I have and absolutely recommend the Kaltik V1 they are awesome
agree totally. amazing to skate. such good value and loads of different colours too.

That able frame h block looks like it took inspiration from the K2 king / style points Bob era h block
Dammit Law! 56mm!!!! I guess I know what I’m getting next
Do you think the new FR oysi frames are close to what the aeon frame would be like ?
Very helpful
Kizer Slimline II kinda do the high low profile, are actually rockerable, you can do 60 55 55 60 on them.
To the questions asker about the size 9 Factions - 276mm will not fit. The inside dimensions of the boot are 275mm and even my 265mm foot was quite snug to start with.
Really enjoyed 55mm 92a flat set up on the Fluid Vs. 56mm 92a would be awesome with that profile.
Lawrence is the best!
Kaltik v2 and slimline 2 are also plastic Hilo frames.
i like my frames just like i like my earth. flat
🤣
Currently loving the Medium Oysi.. grinds like anti, rolls like flat xD
I was working in shorts with a fan on, wet towel on tiled floor for the dog. Not sure how poor lady did an interview.
Where is best place to buy concrete wheels.i have rollerblade inlines.
Where do you live?
Tampa florida

I lived in HB for 5 years and yeah it got hot. Definitely a huge state, NorCal rarely had AC though
@@BacktoBlading yeah totally, no ac is definitely a nor cal thing haha
K2 is a bunch of 🎉
Damn Law, tell us how you really feel about K2 lol
Anyone have issues with the “them” frames de-core’n wheels? I’m on my 3rd set of wheels since getting the “them” frames.
