I enjoy your videos. Thanks so much for being so thorough. After using tempered glass I'm not sure I can go back. This my first Edge phone and I hated it at first, but after getting used to it I like it but still hate how it makes it soooo much more fragile and easier to crack the screen with a small drop. Im waiting for my caseology case to come, as I don't feel the Spigen neo crystal is giving me enough protection. Having a great list of case and protector compatibility is a wonderful resource! oh and it would be great to win one for the S8+. Thanks again!

Geo Arellano it sure does. I noticed a few bubbling but I think it's because I didn't cure it right. I had pressed down on the screen before I cured the screen to try to get some air bubbles out.
I love my Whitestone dome screen protector for my s8 plus, it's the best. Cost is high but it's higher to replace a phone screen so not really an issue. I'm ready to get one for my son and daughters iPhone 7plus. The only issue will be that it's not out their hand long enough for the installation process. Thanks for the videos. You are very helpful.

Another very insightful and entertaining video U Droid Mania! I was actually looking out for this video since your part 2 video on the whitestone dome glass. I think the whitestone dome is the perfect screen protector, especially for the galaxy s8 because it fully adheres to the display which would give me confidence that it wont pop off and the edges go around the curve but not so close that many cases would cause it to pop off. The thing about the whitestone dome glass screen protector that makes me really want one most is the fact that because there is adhesive everywhere under the glass, you dont get any nasty air gap between the glass and the display like I see on other brands like olixar and GPEL. Thanks again for the awesome vid and sorry if my comment was a bit long!

Definitely one of the best reviewers. I ordered an Otterbox strada for the wife since she loves flip cases and wondering if it'll fit the same as the symmetry.
I had to try twice to get a good install of my Whitestone Dome on my s8. I let some of the adhesive go over the side, it wasn't level(important:level is a must! Even though it cost me double it was defiantly worth it. It is the best out there right now! I don't think there's anything close.
+Danfo Wow! 2nd times the charm. Yes I think the level is key yo prevent any leakage. I agree. There is nothing else so far that I have found in this category. I think it's definitely worth the money to protect this phone. I just hope Whitestone is already working on the protector for the Note 8. 👍

I've been watching video after video and reading countless reviews on Amazon on tempered glass screen protectors. It all but makes me want to rip my hair out. I finally settled for the wrap around stick on type which is ok but only against scratches. I decided long ago that this seems to be the best out there, I have 2 s8's though so $90 is a bit to shell out at once. I would love to get my hands on this screen protector for sure. Thanks for such great and informative videos. They are helpful for sure.
The Whitestone looks like the best one around for sure. I am like many and rock the Neo Hybrid,which have a few issues matching up with my YooTech plastic protector. Dig the vids man,great info and easy to watch. You remind me of the Reading Rainbow guy when you talk.lol.

Not happy about shoveling out another 45 bucks, but with the cost of these phones, it's justifiable. Question, did WS mention any word about selling just replacement screens and adhesive tubes for those of us who already have the UV lamp and jig? That would be so awesome if they would offer a Dome Lite kit.

Excellent video! Really in-depth guide, and exhaustive case testing. The geeky side of me got excited, as I'm all about protecting my phones! I got my S8+ some days ago, and got a couple of Armorsuit MilitaryShields for it. They won't work with my Spigen ToughArmor and UltraHybrid so I'm considering my options. Haven't been too convinced before of glass protectors on curved screens, but after seeing your videos, it seems this might be the one. I definitely want to be part of the giveaway -and luckily go back to the Glass Side! :) Cheers.
I just got my S8+ as a bday gift and am loving your review on this. How do you avoid the glue from spilling over the speakers at the top...that's the only thing holding me back from buying this.
Can you do a video for the s8 plus cases that fit in car mount holders. My mount doesn't hold my phone and certain cases well looking for a good car mount
ATTENTION!! Received mine 2 days ago and unfortunately I had issue with install. Udroid I noticed you did mention this in this video and it seems like common sense but it never crossed my mind. I installed mine in the bathroom/less dust and used a chair as my platform and unfortunatly the chair was slightly unlevel! The liquid ran straight off the screen! Sooo PO!!!! It moves like a bead and fast! Hope my luck changes with the drawing! Great video!! THANKS!
if you go to Amazon you can find adhesive liquid that is used on cell phone screens. i installed mine on a kind of an uneven surface so i may have to do it again as well. let me know what they say if you dont mind
I just applied mine last night and love it. I tried a case that didnt work and it caused my side to do the same as yours, so I pressed down hard under the uv light, and voila, problem solved.

I left the protector on my phone, and there are still some bubbles along the edges due to me trying and testing all those cases, but I barely notice them. So for now I'm leaving it on until I test the next over this weekend. I hope other people read this so they can use this tip. I will definitely share though. Cool channel name too. 👍

Just wanted to share that the Whitestone glass is not compatible with item 17 (Spigen Ultra Hybrid). At first, I thought they fit together perfectly since the slim bumper of the spigen embraces the s8's edges and curves until right before the edge of the glass dome. I usually hold my phone on my right hand and the vertical bubble started appearing in the lower right side of the phone. My grip that day might have been too tight that made the flexible bumper put pressure on the side of the dome glass. I heard a slight crack and thought that it broke. I just switched to Samsung's s-view clear cover and tried to push the bubble to the corner. There are still little bubbles left but not too visible anymore.
This looks like the screen protector I've been waiting for! I'm currently using the Amorsuit protector for the S8+ which is fine, but it only protects against some scratches. I can't imagine what it would do in terms of shock protection. It would be great if I won one of these!
I've seen a few conflicting opinions on the UAG Plasma working with the whitestone on the S8. Is there a nice gap all around? Was there perhaps an earlier version that DIDN'T work..?
that's a lot of work and time... thanks. what would you say is the thinnest case? I want one so thin that I almost don't know that it's on there. I don't like cases but the back is so smooth that it is slippery and I know it's going to slide off of something and hit the floor before too long.
2:55 shows it clearly not adhered to the right side. Big gap in plain sight. Noticed it other times as well. Just don't try to hide the obvious gaps when turning the phone. Still on the fence about this screen protector. Good is good, but it needs and should be perfect.
The Caseology Coastline don't work! At first it seemed OK, I could tell it was a tight fit but then it started pushing the Whitestone up. What's the chance you could revisit these cases for a closer look to see which ones have wiggle room for the Whitestone?

Did you manage to get any info? I am on my 3rd protector that has edge adhesive only. You're videos are awesome and very helpful! At the end of the video where you show the list of compatible cases, the video link covers up whether the otterbox defender will work with the dome glass. Also, do you know if this protector will work with pelican series cases? I work in law enforcement and am trying to find a very protective case that stands up to impacts. Thanks man!
you say to remove the top and bottom align bars during install but you only removed the bottom one......???? So which is it? Take both off or only remove bottom?
Great review! Is spigen ultra hybrid fully compatible? On Amazon and on xda some people say that when you push the volume or the power button the glass lifts up. I'm asking because I have the ultra hybrid and I am ready to install the whitestone dome glass.
This protector looks like it works pretty amazing with cases. The price was the main reason I was holding off but now I'm heavily leaning towards getting it. Does it work with the Supcase Union Beetle Pro?
Just a quick note. The Spigen Liquid Crystal is FLUSH with the protector and is on the verge of not working with it. What I noticed is that the case pushes against the protector around the sides of the phone. In my case this happens mostly on the right side, meaning the case's power button does not properly sit on the phone's button and pressing it feels kinda awkward, I could even say difficult. Not sure if the screen protector will start peeling off, but there's definitely some pressure applied.... I feel this is something that should have been included in the video..... UPDATE: After a week of use, the screen protector has started coming unstuck on all four corners.. that's pretty unfortunate... PLEASE add a caption to the video!!
Lyudmil Vladimirov I am sorry that this has happened. I posted a comment earlier today querying this case as well as the Ultra Hybrid and the effect on the screen protector. I was offering them and felt that exactly what you have experienced will happen. I do thank you for sharing this information! I have the Spigen Thin Fit on and it works beautifully with the Whitestone protector installed. It fits tight and has a little space between the case and protector. I have the black S8+ and black thin fit case. They both complement each other and keeps the beauty of the phone. I cannot say how well the thin fit case will protect against a drop test, but it does offer some protection. I believe that coupled with the screen protector there should be a reasonable amount of protection. For me this will work as I am usually very careful with not dropping my phone. I agree with you that U Droid Mania should edit this video and add a caption, especially after your experience!

The Spigen Ultra Hybrid and the Whitestone Dome Glass Protector are NOT compatible. I bought both for my S8 and the glass protector instantly started lifting on all edges. All that money spent... devastated.
Wanna know if this TG works perfectly with incipio dual pro as I am using that case now. It's sad you don't have incipio line up for your s8 plus. But still nice and informative video.
Have you tried removing the screen protector? I am wondering if the screen would be clean and adhesive-free after you take the screen protector off from the screen. And, if there are residues of adhesive, would those be removed by alcohol pads?
Good to know that it's compatible with both the Spigen Neo Hybrid and Slim Armor CS as I'm constantly switching between the 2 cases. One thing though, did you notice any issues with the protector lifting up at all as you switched between all those cases? Because I switch between my 2 cases a lot, I do worry about it peeling up along the edges over time since it's the first areas that would lift up. If you only rocked 1 case full time, then this wouldn't even be an issue, haha.
Do you have any information regarding the Lensun protector to the S8? I am choosing between those 2, one is out of stock and the other do not ship to my country :-( ! Really helpful videos by the way.
Really glad to see this work with a neo hybrid. Bought the GPEL glass for my s8+ but the adhesive didn't stick on one side so I'm getting dust coming in, really annoying lol, have to get a whitestone dome
wow nice review but am a bit curious i know the Whitestone is your best glass protector but what is your primary case that u use daily, out of all those u have? the Whitestone that protector is a awesome glass for my Samsung S8 plus. one more thing the Spigen neo hybrid clear is that a good protective case because i have the gun metal version am just worried about the scratch issues on the clear one. let me know if u can. thanks again on these cool reviews.

I appreciate you taking the time but wouldn't it be easier for everyone if you just posted a list of compatible/ incompatible cases? I sat through the entire video to finally see at the very end a list and that my Defender was incompatible. Just some constructive criticism.
Thanks for taking the time to try all those cases! Sadly, you don't seem to have mine (Rhinoshield CrashGuard for the S8+). If you happen to get one, could you upload a video showing if it's compatible? The protector seems great, so I hope I win one! Amazon USA doesn't ship to my country and Whitestone doesn't sell them either. One thing you didn't mention in the video though, and I think it may help for those buying the protector, is that to avoid getting adhesive accumulated in the sides it is recommended to wipe the sides of the screen, not the protector, after the first curing round.

Hey man, been reading loads of comments, and looking all over the place for some confirmations that the protector will work with spigen touch armour, but no luck. Some says it hugs it a little too close to work properly, and there isn't really prove of it working as well. I think most people will appreciate if you do an upload of whitestone vs spigen cases, or just even extras cases apart from those 50 you've been reviewing. Otherwise, could you confirm this for me before i buy the case. Thanks in advance.
Love the screen protector. Would look great on my s8 plus. It looks like it leaves minimal fingerprints. On a side note. What do you think of liquid screen protectors. As far as scratching goes. I have the speck presidio grip, was looking at the spigen neo hybrid. they seems pretty much the same size, am I wrong? Could you also do a video or list of all these cases and comment if there is a gap between case and protector? Probably a minor issue for some people but it bugs me when I have a case and I can always feel the gap between the case and protector esp on curved screens.
Is there a case you could recommend that is compatible with this screen protector that is similar to the flexy/grippy/rubber type material of the tech21 evo check? I currently have a Uag plasma case and a best buy screen protector and I dropped my phone onto are slate coffee table and it cracked the side of my screen!! not happy!! would love to try one of these screen protectors once I fix my phone
+Ryan Cherry Hi there. It does not work with the defender case or Poetic Revolution or Supcase Unicorn Beetle/Beetle Pro. These cases push up the sides of the protector.
I really want to get this protector but I'm having a hard time justifying $45, especially if it cracks right after install (which is very likely with a toddler and a preschooler running around). Do you know if Whitestone plans on selling replacement kits at some point, maybe then I can justify the cost?

I love the protector and it works great. But the other day a line of bubbles appeared on the left side of the screen and they won't go away. I am using the Neo Hybrid which was fine but I don't know what happened to cause the bubbles but they won't go away!
Is this your first choice of screen protector after four months> Otterbox Defender is not on the list. Did you not test it or is it not work with that case?
which one of these have the highest raised bevel on the front (preferably clear color)? because they dont seem to protect the front much so when drop, the tempered glass will take all the hit

Yes, my daughter is 23 and she has cracked her phone screens plenty of times. She now know the benefits of a scree protector and a case.

Not happy about shoveling out another 45 bucks, but with the cost of these phones, it's justifiable. Question, did WS mention any word about selling just replacement screens and adhesive tubes for those of us who already have the UV lamp and jig? That would be so awesome if they would offer a Dome Lite kit.

I got my S8+ some days ago, and got a couple of Armorsuit MilitaryShields for it. They won't work with my Spigen ToughArmor and UltraHybrid so I'm considering my options. Haven't been too convinced before of glass protectors on curved screens, but after seeing your videos, it seems this might be the one. I definitely want to be part of the giveaway -and luckily go back to the Glass Side! :)

I just got my S8+ as a bday gift and am loving your review on this. How do you avoid the glue from spilling over the speakers at the top...that's the only thing holding me back from buying this.
Can you do a video for the s8 plus cases that fit in car mount holders. My mount doesn't hold my phone and certain cases well looking for a good car mount

ATTENTION!! Received mine 2 days ago and unfortunately I had issue with install. Udroid I noticed you did mention this in this video and it seems like common sense but it never crossed my mind. I installed mine in the bathroom/less dust and used a chair as my platform and unfortunatly the chair was slightly unlevel! The liquid ran straight off the screen! Sooo PO!!!! It moves like a bead and fast! Hope my luck changes with the drawing! Great video!! THANKS!

if you go to Amazon you can find adhesive liquid that is used on cell phone screens. i installed mine on a kind of an uneven surface so i may have to do it again as well. let me know what they say if you dont mind

I just applied mine last night and love it. I tried a case that didnt work and it caused my side to do the same as yours, so I pressed down hard under the uv light, and voila, problem solved.

I left the protector on my phone, and there are still some bubbles along the edges due to me trying and testing all those cases, but I barely notice them. So for now I'm leaving it on until I test the next over this weekend.
I hope other people read this so they can use this tip. I will definitely share though.

Just wanted to share that the
Whitestone glass is not compatible with item 17 (Spigen Ultra Hybrid). At first, I thought they fit together perfectly since the slim bumper of the spigen embraces the s8's edges and curves until right before the edge of the glass dome. I usually hold my phone on my right hand and the vertical bubble started appearing in the lower right side of the phone. My grip that day might have been too tight that made the flexible bumper put pressure on the side of the dome glass. I heard a slight crack and thought that it broke. I just switched to Samsung's s-view clear cover and tried to push the bubble to the corner. There are still little bubbles left but not too visible anymore.
This looks like the screen protector I've been waiting for! I'm currently using the Amorsuit protector for the S8+ which is fine, but it only protects against some scratches. I can't imagine what it would do in terms of shock protection. It would be great if I won one of these!
I've seen a few conflicting opinions on the UAG Plasma working with the whitestone on the S8. Is there a nice gap all around? Was there perhaps an earlier version that DIDN'T work..?

what would you say is the thinnest case? I want one so thin that I almost don't know that it's on there. I don't like cases but the back is so smooth that it is slippery and I know it's going to slide off of something and hit the floor before too long.
+Gene Martin Spigen thin fit is a good case, also Ringke thin. The Rhinoshield bumper is a great case since it only goes around the edges.

The Caseology Coastline don't work! At first it seemed OK, I could tell it was a tight fit but then it started pushing the Whitestone up. What's the chance you could revisit these cases for a closer look to see which ones have wiggle room for the Whitestone?

you say to remove the top and bottom align bars during install but you only removed the bottom one......???? So which is it? Take both off or only remove bottom?
Great review! Is spigen ultra hybrid fully compatible? On Amazon and on xda some people say that when you push the volume or the power button the glass lifts up. I'm asking because I have the ultra hybrid and I am ready to install the whitestone dome glass.

Just a quick note. The Spigen Liquid Crystal is FLUSH with the protector and is on the verge of not working with it. What I noticed is that the case pushes against the protector around the sides of the phone. In my case this happens mostly on the right side, meaning the case's power button does not properly sit on the phone's button and pressing it feels kinda awkward, I could even say difficult. Not sure if the screen protector will start peeling off, but there's definitely some pressure applied.... I feel this is something that should have been included in the video.....
UPDATE: After a week of use, the screen protector has started coming unstuck on all four corners.. that's pretty unfortunate... PLEASE add a caption to the video!!
Lyudmil Vladimirov I am sorry that this has happened. I posted a comment earlier today querying this case as well as the Ultra Hybrid and the effect on the screen protector. I was offering them and felt that exactly what you have experienced will happen. I do thank you for sharing this information! I have the Spigen Thin Fit on and it works beautifully with the Whitestone protector installed. It fits tight and has a little space between the case and protector. I have the black S8+ and black thin fit case. They both complement each other and keeps the beauty of the phone. I cannot say how well the thin fit case will protect against a drop test, but it does offer some protection. I believe that coupled with the screen protector there should be a reasonable amount of protection. For me this will work as I am usually very careful with not dropping my phone. I agree with you that U Droid Mania should edit this video and add a caption, especially after your experience!

The Spigen Ultra Hybrid and the Whitestone Dome Glass Protector are NOT compatible. I bought both for my S8 and the glass protector instantly started lifting on all edges. All that money spent... devastated.
Wanna know if this TG works perfectly with incipio dual pro as I am using that case now. It's sad you don't have incipio line up for your s8 plus. But still nice and informative video.
Have you tried removing the screen protector? I am wondering if the screen would be clean and adhesive-free after you take the screen protector off from the screen. And, if there are residues of adhesive, would those be removed by alcohol pads?
Good to know that it's compatible with both the Spigen Neo Hybrid and Slim Armor CS as I'm constantly switching between the 2 cases. One thing though, did you notice any issues with the protector lifting up at all as you switched between all those cases? Because I switch between my 2 cases a lot, I do worry about it peeling up along the edges over time since it's the first areas that would lift up. If you only rocked 1 case full time, then this wouldn't even be an issue, haha.

Really glad to see this work with a neo hybrid. Bought the GPEL glass for my s8+ but the adhesive didn't stick on one side so I'm getting dust coming in, really annoying lol, have to get a whitestone dome

The protector seems great, so I hope I win one! Amazon USA doesn't ship to my country and Whitestone doesn't sell them either.
One thing you didn't mention in the video though, and I think it may help for those buying the protector, is that to avoid getting adhesive accumulated in the sides it is recommended to wipe the sides of the screen, not the protector, after the first curing round.

Hey man, been reading loads of comments, and looking all over the place for some confirmations that the protector will work with spigen touch armour, but no luck. Some says it hugs it a little too close to work properly, and there isn't really prove of it working as well. I think most people will appreciate if you do an upload of whitestone vs spigen cases, or just even extras cases apart from those 50 you've been reviewing. Otherwise, could you confirm this for me before i buy the case. Thanks in advance.
Love the screen protector. Would look great on my s8 plus. It looks like it leaves minimal fingerprints. On a side note. What do you think of liquid screen protectors. As far as scratching goes. I really want to get this protector but I'm having a hard time justifying $45, especially if it cracks right after install (which is very likely with a toddler and a preschooler running around). Do you know if Whitestone plans on selling replacement kits at some point, maybe then I can justify the cost?

I love the protector and it works great. But the other day a line of bubbles appeared on the left side of the screen and they won't go away. I am using the Neo Hybrid which was fine but I don't know what happened to cause the bubbles but they won't go away!
Is this your first choice of screen protector after four months> Otterbox Defender is not on the list. Did you not test it or is it not work with that case?
also works with rhinoshield crash guard. I did drop my phone with this on and the crash guard and it did crack. screen remains smooth though
which one of these have the highest raised bevel on the front (preferably clear color)? because they dont seem to protect the front much so when drop, the tempered glass will take all the hit
