I don’t think the hook on look at me now is that bad, but I will say that after Busta’s verse, where he’s doing those really quick bars with the powerful line delivery, having that followed up by Chris’ kind of low energy delivery of “Look at me now, Look at me now…” does feel like the energy is brought to a sudden halt for a moment.
I thought that drastic shift in tempo and mood for the chorus in Max B was actually really interesting and satisfying. The music to me gave me the illusion of the feeling of putting on a happy face and having a shred of a moment to yourself before going back. Even when it goes back to the good part, it just doesn't hit the same (I do remember the Fleetwood Mac version keeping the Middle 8 section but even tho I still don't like it, I'll give them some credit for actually integrating the Middle 8 section WAAAY better than the original (still should've been removed all together imo))
Lmao @ zimzalabim, yeah kpop stans don’t love it either. Very fun song to scream with friends tho
The Eminem song felt awkward to me because the hook itself uses a nursery rhyme melody in a way that's trying to be funny but Eminem's voice and the melody itself is not exciting. I also don't think it's funny
