    I have an O2 T-Bird.
Sometimes it starts on the first try but mostly tried to take three to four times to start. Changed fuel line filter. Didn't make any difference. And I can hear the fuel pump when you turn the key.🤷🏽‍♂️

Clean the throttle body and run a can of fuel injector cleaner

@@chiefvilla3167 also, there was a TSB in early 2002 that dealt with hard cold start due to flooding

I have an 03 .After winter storage it would not start
Tracked it down to a blow 15 amp fuse in the trunk
Replaced and it blew again. Do I need a new fuel pump. Best guess

@martyjones-nz7xl if the fuel pump fuse blows its probably the fuel pump

Very helpful info Bob, thks. My '02 is showing signs of fuel starvation on hills and big curves. No codes thrown, it just shudders, shakes and takes off again. The fuel pump is relatively new, but got it cheap off eBay some 2 years ago. Like most I am/was confused by the saddlebag tank, syphoning operation versus main pump but now get the big picture (I hope). Do you have both fuel units? If so, pls provide contact info to discuss further.

Start with replacing coils and plugs

I have a 2005 Ford Thunderbird ~ just bought it about 6 months ago on a used car lot (Scott Davis Auto Sales, Turlock, Ca.). They got me good...i learned quickly after a couple of days that the car dies when it gets just below a half a tank. In other words i have to keep at least a half tank of gas at all times. From what i understand this is not an easy fix. Can anyone steer me in the right direction as far as repair and is it worth it!?!

Sounds like you probably need to replace the left side transfer gas pump
