@PipeDoctor will I said I was just taking the saying, as you definitely do it right. You do not take shortcuts or use less quality units or parts to get the job done. Only the best quality service ,best quality machines and parts are good enough for your customers. Thanks again for always having very informative videos. I have even seen if the quality of one of your suppliers drops you will find some better company.
Mikey, you are absolutely right about criticizing the work of other marginal hvac contractors. Hvac contractors should always fix things and leave the area clean, because it represents the type of person they are on their life. Attaching your label on condenser tells me how proud you are of your work and not afraid of other people critiquing your work. Job well done! I hope other Hvac Techician see your video and learn from you. Ps. Dont throw capacitors on grass when you feel are garbage (put it in an authorized trash can).
If that homemade cord/generator hookup is connected that is a major hazard/suicide cord just sitting in the open. Think the homeowner is out there hacking away too.
@@PipeDoctor it's amazing how hard a hack will work to be lazy, they spent more time wrapping them in electrical tape than it would have taken to mount them properly
Hey Mickey, of Mickey Pipes Plumbing not easy being chessy. I like your podcast/social media, looking thru some comments/reply. I guess some of your customers still checking in on you. You still might be a world famous cockoo clock. lol. Its a good feeling helping people out with there problems. Love you buddy, might sound a little queer again.. Joy good show old boy. God save the King..
Hi Mike, I'm a licensed master electrician and plumber, we don't do AC work in general but in certain instances, we have diagnosed and repaired controls for clients while at their premises for other work. Would it have been acceptable to replace the two caps with a dual cap to simplify for the next service? Would it not cost about the same? Thanks.
Sadly i know guys that would tell the clueless owners the compressor has failed, all the freon leaked out and would show them a photo of a cracked heat exchanger they got from the internet if they ran this call. Not many honest technicians left in this industry.
Not really, it's just lazy. They leave them in the box so they don't have to secure them and paper and tape covers and "protects" the terminals. Usually it's home warranty companies who need to be in and out in 20 minutes because they have 15 calls and only get paid 20 dollars per call.
Wow just wow that unit has not been serviced since it was installed I’ll bet … an like I said before that cap box is just incredibly lazy an stupid.. NICE professional install replacements!! And that yellow cord??😬🫨🙄 I was like 😱 you got to be kidding me! AN that was a “(Male)” plug an I am betting it was live an hot 🤦♂️ Did I ever say some home owners are DANGEROUS!!! woah at the rust-buckets filter dryers. 😬 looks like they're both ready to start chooching the gas out.

so was there 220 some volts at the end of that yellow cord
Did you test the plug that is tied to the disconnect. To see if it is live .
the electrical tape makes it extra hilarious LOL

Looks good, but if the smaller capacitor was 5mfd for the fan, couldnt you have just wired that directly to the already existing dual phase capacitor?
Was that start amp draw 50?
Start assist maybe needed to help that along. Great job cleaning that old turd up.

so that is just a casual 240v on that yellow cord with the male ends sticking out laying on the ground waiting for a rainy day to kill someone ?
I would not have put my sticker on the unit with the cord sticking it out of the disconnect. I would want no part of that. Guilty by association.
Why not put a dual capacitor in? Just wondering… nice work anyways
That is such a fire hazard leaving capacitor in boxes
