Both the quality of this video and Micah’s attitude throughout the tournament were above par. Hopefully he will be able to have a caddie at each of his tournaments. It makes a difference when he has help versus trying to go it alone. Great job Micah.

I’m just glad we get to see the behind the scenes of making a run at turning pro, just shows how many people are out there competing for the tour spots that we never hear of or get to ever watch
I live and work at a golf course super close to this. There were some really solid players in the tournament at the top of the field but also some NHL hockey players and but not a lot of top amateurs as the Alberta amateur was being. Most top uni/college guys in the area were at that tournament. But I played in a tournament this year with the guy who won the amateur portion of this event shot like -3 over 3 days which beats Micah by 15 shots. Guy has a full time job and just loves golf

Hey Micah, keep getting the tourney experiences and have fun! Hope you don't mind a little personal advice from an 80 year old guy who has always thought you have the ability to go pro, but if I were you (wishful thinking) I would either aspire to be a tour pro or a long drive competitor - but not both. I say that because I think one interferes with the other. Slowing down the mph swing could give you much better control for good course management. Try it privately, see if it helps. I'm cheering for you as I have been since the Good Good/GM days. BTW, Was that Mac from Canada playing in your group?

@@garry7795 Micha is no doubt pound for pound the longest hitter of the golf ball at any professional level. David Duval once pointed that "scoring" was a skill onto itself and I sure don't know how you teach that one. Micah would probably tell you he should be scoring better.

Its too bad it has been so smokey around Alberta. You should be able to see a beautiful, mountain backdrop on Mickelson, but it has been hazy! Glad ya got to play Banff springs though! Good job!

Can't say I'm a fan of the filming on this one. Didn't get to see the ball flight or landing of most of the tee shots, it's just Micah staring off into the distance after his swing. At 14:10 we can't even see the ball or hole when putting.

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great for filming either. It was all smokey here in Calgary so it’s a little hard to trace the ball with that background. Sucky cause we often have clear skies!

This is the first time you've played a course I've played. I found it very unforgiving, and a +8 on your first round is still a respectable showing in my books. I hope you had a chance to spend a little time seeing parts of my beautiful city and the nearby mountains!

My only advice, which wasn’t requested, would be to find a more consistent cruising speed for competitive play. Especially with driver. He can utilize his real length with his irons. You don’t need to hit it 340 off the tee if you are missing fairways. His cruising speed would still be at 300 yards. That’s PLENTY to remain competitive at the highest levels.

You could grab a 48 inch driver and be competitive in long drive. But I'd like to see you keep going with the game of golf. Results have been slow to come, but maybe you're just missing a little polish. Like others have said, you do well under pressure. Add that to your tenacity and you'll go far. Competing with all the talent out there is a monumental task.

Having watched this video and many more of MM videos I note ( as a lover of golf for the last 30 years and never getting lower than 12HC) the following.
1- Love Micah’s swing with driver.
2- whilst he is soo good his Short irons and wedges are not in same caliber of his driving.
3- his butting is his worst nemesis. Even on this video I counted at least 4-5 three puts. Remember the old saying “drive for show, put for dough”
4- and finally he is way too emotional on himself. He believes on the shot he is imagining to make and when it doesn’t come up he loses concentration.
That is why I agree with the gent who was caddying for him that his future success would be in World Long Drive C’ships.
All said I am a true fan of him as well as Grant and G Rat and Good Good.

When Micah left Good Good, his golf game was on fire for a few months. With all the changes he's went through with moving to Florida getting all settled in, and the crazy amount of colabs he's done, his golf game cooled down a bit. It seemed to happen around the time when signing with TaylorMade, and that Primo clothing company. There's a lot going on for Micah, he's swinging a little harder than he used to, and a little harder on himself. He's going to bounce right back very shortly to where he was, and at the right times (tournament play). Keep plugging away Micah!

They used to be, they just weren’t good enough to make it. They knew because they didn’t make enough money to have a life and not from rich backgrounds. Take Micah’s youtube channel away from him and see how long he is going to try to make it, will be @ the range teaching golf within 2 years. ZERO chance of getting any status on any serious tour. 82 is just not a good score and to be fair it is embarrassing to take a spot away from another guy who does have the potential.
