Great little history lesson. I grew up and still live about 2 blocks from there. I never heard about this, but have been back there alot when i was younger

I work in Steelton. At the Rail mill.
Wow! I just learned recently that rails were still being made down there. Interesting.
My Dad's family was from Altoona,they were poor but proud people.

I've never heard this story, and i like PRR stories. 250 bucks back then was good money about 9k now.
