watching Keith play and sing this is almost religious. The man felt every word and every note and took me along for the ride. It's nice to see an artist enjoy playing a song, rather than just play it as an OMG I HAVE TO SING THIS AGAIN tune.. I get chills every time I watch this video.
@knightralf I am totally with you! I grew up with 80s metal and was a lead guitarist in a rock band. Now that I am older I mainly play acoustic and sing. I can't say enough about Keith Urban and his talents as a singer, and more impressively, as a guitar player. I've seen him live and it was like a great rock show from the 80s. My friends tell me I have gone country! I counter by saying if you saw and appreciated this artist - you would too! Immensly talented
Listening to Keith's music for so many years makes me feel like he's a member of my family! Just listening to his voice takes my mind away from troubles...he's just that kind of singer you can turn to whatever mood you have! LOVE U KEITH, come to Greece!
Keith always puts 110% into every song he sings. He may not have wrote the song, but he sings in as if he did. Thats why Keith does what he does for a living.
I'm sure he's lived this before given his track record in the relationship department. But that's not to say he's a stupid boy now, or not a good man. People make mistakes, they take people for granted and in the end, they learn that you really do not know what you have until it's gone. I, personally, have been a stupid girl in my lifetime. And it hurts to admit it, and it hurts to know when it's your fault that someone you loved walked away. You love and you learn and you grow up.
my sweet little cousin was just murdered by her boyfriend. her dad posted these lyrics on his facebook the other day. that "boyfriend" stole every dream she could have had. he took her life :(
Amazing. ty for posting... I'll start my music career with this artist and this song. I feel this is just about how i lost a wonderful woman in my life forever were only 20s, Im that stupid boy. this is for me and my ex Shannon
i love the honesty of this song....all you controlling idiots listen and don't be the one who loses the one you love because you have to be in control.
@knightralf As a former metal head from the 80's who's crossed over to country many years ago, the best advise I can give you is the advise a great man gave me back then when I wanted to cross over... he told me to start with learning to flat pick. since we already are into speed playing ,bluegrass flatpicking is a great formation and it forces you to be accurate. Country these days isn't that different , it's a lot of alternate tunings, but most is still basic 4 to 5 chords.
my ex girlfriend deticated this song to me after we dated for 7 months, its not very long but i thought we were goin to make it forever. then i woke up one day and couldnt find her anywhere. then the next day she called me and broke up with me for a girl. appearently she was a secret lesbian. what an awesome feeling that was.
wanted to enjoy the song but then read the comments below... pretty ignorant minds... Nicole liked the song first and asked Keith, he sang it afterwards.. liking it ofcourse.

Keith has to be the most underrated musician today. Some of these so called 'rock' bands aren't fit enough to hold his pick! Keep it up KU
no matter how much i watch this its still cute
One of my favorites. One day I hope to see him live, and hear this song. Sad, but well written, and played.
She laid her heart and soul right in your hands
And you stole her every dream and you crushed her plans...
living it

i love the honesty of this song....all you controlling idiots listen and don't be the one who loses the one you love because you have to be in control.
So Sorry for you and the rest of her family. That is messed up. Why are people so troubled they can do that. I will never understand.
arguably one of the greatest country songs ever made
what i love about the song is that, it can be taken as a song for the girl or guy.
it really makes me feel bad for the girl and guy.
thank you keith
@jozan34

I always felt like this was his apology to his girlfriend after singing 'You'll think of me'. Sara Buxton writes some wicked words!
Damn, that cat is GOOD.
I'm a stupid stupid boy..... Lived every word, and feel so bad.
