There are a lot of sad stories in those places and much to learn about life and death. I like to respect those that gave the ultimate sacrifice and these cemeteries are such beautiful places to spend a few special moments. Thanks for your comments 😊💙 Trev
Camping du vivier has changed a little since we were there, but a lovely site. We never made to Saint Quentin Cathedral what an amazing place. We do remember Seraucourt, moving graveyard.
Although the site was tucked away and rural, we liked that and we think it made it more rather than less likely we would return. It’s very friendly there and so tranquil. There was quite a bit of construction going on in Saint Quentin but we loved inside the basilica. The city square was interesting with the chiming clock too 😃👍🏻💙 Trev
Hi Trev and sue and Sheila and Joe looks like you are having an amazing time and you have certainly had great weather! Epernay and saint Quentin look fabulous and like you we love boulangeries and seeing and trying the cakes! both look great to walk around and lots of things to see and do the champagne lodges look great and remind me of when we went to Reims did you make it into the balloon? Glad Smirf was ok I bet you were worried I’ve had that with my car the parking bit was funny I’ve done the same many times! The graveyard was so poignant you truly are overwhelmed with the sacrifice they gave for us I remember vimy ridge being proud and emotional in one. Hope you are all keeping well Daniel
Thank you Daniel, we loved Epernay and will return in future. It was one of the places we could have easily spent more time. Our visit was on route to the next campsite so we had more driving to do. Saint Quentin was nice but had a big city feel about it. We had a nice lunch and Sue almost bought a dress until she saw the price 🤣 The village we stayed at was very pretty and this cemetery was just a short walk up the hill. It was a beautiful spot and held many tales of bravery and sadness. Take care 💙🚐👍🏻 Trev
Thank you, the square was lovely and the bells on the clock were pretty too. The French towns and cities are all different and all of them have impressed us for one reason or another. It’s been great 👍🏻😃💙 Trev
Great choices of music, especially in the Basilica - and the park or not to park was hysterical 👍🤣 All the town and villages look lovely and the Perrier Jouet buildings are almost as pretty as their bottles, shame the champagne houses didn’t offer tastings 🥂 Must’ve been an anxious few moments when the tracker alert was set off, but thankfully all ok. Looking forward to the next one, cheers Debs x🚐🍻
Thanks Debs 🤣 Epernay is somewhere we will definitely return to. It’s a beautiful place and we could have spent more time there. The tracker was a bit of a worry but that’s why we have it, to alert us of any problems 🙂 Tastings would have been nice but maybe not on a road trip 🤭 We didn’t buy any this time but was great to see the capital of champagne 🥂 🍾 💕 take care 🚐 Trev n Sue
What a drive. Wow those church bells are noisy! And they don't really have a nice tune. Just sounds like random ringing lol. But the church is beautiful! Such a cute little town. Oh that would be kind of scary to get the call from your alarm peeps. But glad nothing was wrong. Maybe someone tried the handle or something to see if it was unlocked and then just moved on? Another great drive. You know Saint Quentin almost sounds a little like San Quentin, but that would be a totally different type of trip 😂Oh wow! That church is so amazing! Love those stained glass windows. The ceilings are so crazy high. That's really awesome. Was that picture a platter of onion rings? Oh my! Yum! Lovely cemetery and cross.
The bells were deafening and you are right, no real order to the bells at one point. Started ok but got a bit random 🤣 The van was safe in the end thank goodness 👍🏻 The platter was a mix of hot finger food that Europeans call Tapas. It’s mainly Spain but France do it too. There was fried chicken, fish, onions, cheese and other goodies with nachos and dips. Kinda nice with a cold drink over lunch. The war cemetery had so many sad stories about World War One 1914 to 1918. Thank you for your support again this week 😃👍🏻🚐💙 Trev
Just a wonderful film Trev. We enjoyed it immensely. The parking comedy could have been written. Absolutely brilliant 🤣🤣🤣 Lucky it was a false alarm there. St Quentin looked awe inspiring and the cathedral was breathtaking. And then the WW1 war graves were sobering. We’re heading over there next week. Will probably stop near Arras and try to visit the museum. Then a couple of weeks travelling through Germany and Switzerland on to the Dordogne You’ve so wetted our appetite 👍👍👍
Thanks so much, we really appreciate your lovely comments of support. The last episode in this series is on Friday so I hope you see the closing scenes. Have a wonderful trip and enjoy every moment just like we did 👍🏻🚐💙 Trev n Sue x
Just to reassure you, it's highly unlikely that a UK reg van would be stolen in France. They don't like right-hand drive vehicles, so you'd have to be extremely unfortunate to come across a Brit wanting to steal your van. I'd love it, mind you, as we have no issues with our old RHD Merc car, and I REALLY want a campervan, but it wasn't me, honest😂
Also busy road so break-in unlikely too. Way back in 2002 we'd hired a camper in France and had a major break-in, due to parking somewhere in the shade and with the blinds down against the sun. Tourist spot with no warnings! And the police knew who it would have been, but said that unless they caught them red-handed, there was nothing they could do. Reckon their pockets were being well lined 😏 We lost a lot of brand new tech! Lesson learned!!
Ahh thank you. I do get nervous about leaving my possessions by the roadside but your words do make a lot of sense. We didn’t let it spoil our day 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev
On this tour we booked everything in advance except for two Aires we decided to change for a campsite last minute. When two vans are travelling together it’s lovely to have a planned schedule and we know what are costs will be. Everyone was comfortable and there were no big decisions to make whilst away. It worked well for us this time. If we were on our own we would have done it differently 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev
The war cemeteries are just so moving and the ages of those who died ,certainly makes you think

My wife bought me a bottle of Dom Perignon for my 50th birthday. How lucky. It is the best
Epernay was beautiful and it was so tempting to do a little champagne tasting but we had the dogs and I didn’t feel dressed for the occasion 🤣🤣 Trev
@@PoshcatsCamping it cost £50 over 25 years ago. Been round Moet etc several times. (and Travelodge, Ipswich !!)
Beautiful churches & buildings, Architecture is amazing, lovely video of the area, so nice to watch, have fun, Perrin & Marilyn 😊

Lovely video, Em 💜
Thanks Em, we took so long to decide where to park, then just crossed the road 🤣🤣🤣 take care 🚐💙👍🏻 Trev
Another great video. Nice to hear your tracking company is on the ball, glad nothing was damaged or taken. ATB Mark & Coral👍
We get occasional calls from them but I really don’t mind. That’s what we paid for after all 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev
beautiful place campsite with lakes too nice
We really enjoyed the tranquility of this campsite. Really lovely 😃🚐 Trev

Yes the roads are very good and there’s not nearly as many cars on the roads either. 😃🚐👍🏻 Trev
bet that was a reliefe about the tracker
