Minor issue with location of weapons. Unlike mwo in Battletech TRO 3025 and 3050, both point out the LRM-20 of the AS7-D is actually in the hip. The Atlas K makes note that the hip housing for the old LRM 20 with its 5 tubes was kept because they didn't have time to design a replacement part for that section. @@theblackpantslegion Died laughing. RIP me
Thank you for that ending. I needed to hear that. Helps me deal with someone at work. Lol. Keep it up.
The Greatest Scout Mech ever made!
5:20 THIS SHOULD PLAY EVERYTIME YOU LOAD THE ATLAS.
That inexorable advance pic is just so amazing! Do the walking house next?
Dude, you got my like especially for the bit during the credits at the end.
My favorite Lyran scout mech.
I only really know BattleTech from the MechAssault games. I remember the first mission you get the Atlas and it's so fun.
I am glad to announce that a present arived today, in form of an Atlas and a Madcat miniature. I am now proudly going to paint the beginning of a new plastic crack addiction.
My girlfriend got me these despite the regular sets beeing sold out there I lived around christmas and I am just happy.
See you soon when my Steiner Scout force begann to take place and thank you Tex, Goat, Asgardian and all the other guys for igniting my fire for a new, awesome universe of stompy robot mayham
That ending song and lipsynch was beautiful man...
thanks man.
New sub cause of your Awesome lore vid. I kinda like it. Shows you how much it was a cheap assault mech. Keep going man.
Thanks bro. And the Awesome is really what I think of when I wonder "How did the Inner Sphere beat the Clanner Blitzkrieg." Well, shit like the AWS 8Q.
You do a great job with these. Much appreciated
The SRM 6 with its 6 tubes is on the chest. Atlas K "upgraded" to two racks of ten from the single rack of 5.
My editor has profusely apologized for this. I put his eyes out for being wrong.
The Fortress that walks! Atlas with enough firepower to destroy a city on its own...
The mighty Warhammer like the one used by Natasha Kerensky :)
Tex, can you do Crab or King Crab someday?
I have an unnatural love for their somewhat alien-looking designs and I hear they're strong which makes me like them more.
Seconding this, they'd both be interesting in historical context
Trash can with nuclear missles? That's so much FUN!
binging on this righteous series because its awesome and it helps me ease out of a panic attack. good things here
Good and humble educator of the periphery; Whilst I know your todo list is longer then the Exodus Road could we get a longer form version of this Video Do to both the epic nature of the Mech in question and the epicness of the videos you currently grace us with? She has been in my top 3 ever since I chased a Thunderhawk of the board with an AS7D after running it out of ammo in my very first game I've been hooked ever since.
My first Atlas was MW2 mercs. Didn't realize I had the nightmare mech, but it was omni designed because lack of computation understanding. Had PPCs in its legs to frag things.
@4:26 -- Nitpicking, I know, but it's actually "Durallex Special Heavy" not "Heavy Special" and the lines are wrong: the LRM20 line is pointing to the SRM6, and the SRM6 is pointing to the LRM20. Thanks for all your stuff, man! You're very entertaining.
Omg the singing atlas at the end made me laugh so hard cool aid came out my nose!!! Good on ya tex and crew!
Is there an opinion about covering Clan tech? 'Cause I for one could stand to hear some Clan tech lore.
Possible. We shall have a vote or something after the next one.
That got a thumbs up just for the singing Atlas lmao!
(Also, kudos for finding the original audio, not the high-tuned version)
Me: Its an Atlas.
Atlas: I am immortal!
Me: Heavy gauss rifle, called headshot.
Atlas: Oh no!
Atlas II - I have ECM you can't see me!!
Deker explodes for no reason and the shot misses.
Can we get a more in-depth breakdown of the Atlas please. Your latter works make me want more for this beautiful machine
Awesome work and excellent music
What is its rating in Urbies? How many urban mechs does it take to kill it and typically have at least one Urban Mech still standing?
5:50 is that an alien life form as a pet? Can someone tell me about the BattleTech lore behind alien life as far as I knew there wasn't any but this changes everything!
there's very little alien life and none of it really canonically intelligent.
Unless you count that one book, which I dont.
Got my kids into battletech. My daughter swears by this death machine and the marauder. My son swears by the stalker and the archer.
I showed her this video and now she mocks her bother for picking ineffective mechs.
Will this be getting a remaster, like the Urban?
This may be old but I'm happy to learn more about the universe
You forgot to Mention the Mighty *TRUCKLAS* a Diesel Powered one :D or the *Turretlas*
a Atlas Torso mounted on a wall as a Base Defense :D
God, atlas's are endless(s)
4:50 coming back to this, I realized this is my favorite combination. Because it's the one available in MWLL. The auto cannon is just the piece of resistance to this magnificent load out.
I have been a battletech player for over forty years, and my favorite assault mechs are the Bansee 5S, Devastator-2, and the Mackie 9H...
There's another iconic assault mech I look forward to him covering, Mr snippy, snappy, shooty.
"Oh fuck...they have an Atlas." ~Old Mechwarrior saying
Would LOVE to see this kind of attention given to the Hatchetman; or my fave Heavy, the Thunderbolt.
That song at the end... so true for Atlas pilots...
Thank you for using Mechwarrior 2 sounds effects.
My first mech ever piloting was the spider. My second one was the atlas which are my 2 favorite table top mechs and who needs anything that falls between them.
I enjoy watching the vid lore of the battletech's mechs, i hope that in the future you'll do the annihilator in the future
before the late nineties table top crash Ral partha was resizing all the mechs. the first one they did was the Atlas. All other battlemech minis were going to be smaller shorter than the atlas. FYI I have found that signing "imma bout to whip somebodies ass" outloud and extra loud usually gets me some extra time for lunch, or "hey man why dont you knock off early"
Hey Tex! I would LOVE to see the Crusader lore!
That song plus the mech singing along....oh hell that was perfect!
