If your just starting to paint mind your joints some joints if you paint them will tighten up to much and you'll end of fuckin up your good work AGAIN MIND YOUR JOINTS dont be like me and get a big kit and kill it all because you didn't manage your joints good luck and hope this finds you with a good product in the end

I didn’t realize it till recently, but there is a RG Unicorn that is a G-Base exclusive that includes a LED strip. This guy is a major scaled up version of that.
Comparing this to the normal MG Ver Ka, I think the MGEX is worth the price. You get a lot of things plus the unicorn itself is not nearly as brittle. It also looks better than the normal MG.
I love the cream white I’ve been wanting to find the paint to use it with my air brush on some kits, any way you could let me know what you use ? Thank you!

Planning to get the MGEX, and also the Perfectibility, and to combine all three to have the ULTIMATE Unicorn with ALL of the equipment and additional custom leds to transition from the green to the blue, going from one to the other around the backpack of the Full armor.
Hey Zach, may I know did you fully sand & polish all the nub marks on the clear ABS frame parts? Did you paint or panel line them in any way? And may I ask the same questions for the milky white frame parts? Thank you.

I turned my led on for my mgex unicorn, the led has been working until it’s just randomly stoped working. I tired turning it off and on again and pressing the button but nothing happens. What can I do to fix it?
I was silently admiring the lights on my Gundam Unicorn one day and they just suddenly up and died on me! I changed the batteries to see if it was just a low power issue but to no avail. I’m pretty sure it might’ve had something to do with me accidentally leaving it on for a good bit but I was wondering there was a potential fix out there?
Yes and it took forever! Haha. For the v-fin: white primer > yellow on the front > mask the yellow and paint the white armor color on the back. Pretty easy

Since now I can't build 1/144 scale regular size gunpla anymore because its too small, PG is taking too much space, and another 1/100 scale Unicorn kit are... uh... (meh for MG OVA, worst for MG verka). I'll definitely get this kit, someday.

Now, when I turn on the lights, only the head turns on :( Would I be able to fix this or get a replacement ribbon? Also, when trying to transform the head, I snapped the clip holding in the unicorn face.. I dunno why this kit hates me so much. Does the head use the same parts as the other MG Unicorn?
i have a question is it a very solid kit ? because i built the mg unicorn and the Integrity of the kit is disappointing parts keep falling off is the MGEX unicorn Able to hold itself up ???
You know, if they do make an MGEX Banshee from this (Praying to God it's not P-Bandai) the only way I can see them charging as much for the MGEX unicorn is if they include the parts for the Norn and the Armed Armor VN and BS. Otherwise it's hard for me to see them charging $200+ for it
How are you able to glue the joints together and paint them? Will there be revealed underlying plastic where the plastic is covered? Do you deal with that or is it just ignored?

It can be built without the LED's but there's really no point in doing that. The kit is made for the LED feature and building it without the LED feature just means you are spending way too much money on a kit.

Limb by limb. Usually, you could just take a full arm for example, and stick the joint onto an alligator clip and spray the whole arm at once. It's actually good this way since you get a pretty consistent coverage on each piece. Once dry, bend the arm to get the topcoat into the joints that were covered before. Then just repeat the process for the other arm, legs, torso, head, etc.
Yeah for this kit almost eve try individual piece had to be taken all the way to the final topcoat before anything could be assembled. That’s why I said it’s a tedious process
Ah I see, you’re saying that without shading it looks like I didn’t paint the white armor? Take a look again as the color I used it quite different from straight white 💁♂️
Seeing your final review, this confirms to me that this kit is far too expensive for what you get with it. - the lighting system is not worth an extra £150 over the original MG Unicorn ver.ka at all. - you can do a far, far better job by learning a little bit of electronics and hooking up your own lighting system for a quarter of the price. I would be interested in this kit without the LEDs for a quarter of the price though.
Only thing I dont like is how it overall has a yellowish sheen to it, it looks like a dirty white and dirty metal which doesn't quite make sense knowing the context of the Gundam

for washing the parts, you can buy a small ultrasound washer, it will save much time, and it's cheap

Just as costly as a perfect grade, sticker for v fin, some parts are reused from older kits like the ms cage.
