Mental Health-related comment: Stuggling to forgive myself in basically all my relationships. While all my breakups are objectively maybe no one's fault per say, I leave part of myself with my partners and feel like less and less of a person each time. And now I try to find some kind of love from another just to make up some of the difference in my heart, as I don't think it'll be whole ever again. I've tried to change myself over and over to change my outlook on life, but depression and stress always accumilate again. (usually started from financial woes)

It is always hard to look back and and be forgiving to ourselves of things that we have said or done; I fee you, just know you are not alone in this. I can somewhat relate with you on how you feel as though you leave a piece of you behind with every relationship. Although I don’t feel this in relationships, I do in jobs I have had, or colleagues/friends I have had. There was a time where I got really close to my manager at one of my jobs, and things didn’t work out, I ended up quitting. I still think about that a lot, I feel as though I left a better part of me there, a me that was getting healthier and happier possibly. When we move away from people in this life, it is like we search to find someone to fill that gap that is left. It is hard to find someone who can take over that place that was left. I know how it feels to try and change, but it turns into a constant cycle. I have been going through the same cycle since I was a teenager, I have wanted to follow my dreams of art and music, I try for a little, and then I go through a long period of just settling for what I have, or giving up. I always try to be positive, or be healthier, start taking care of myself, and I maybe do if for a week and the same things happens, I go back to what I am used to. I think that when it comes to relationships, it is key to take love ourselves first. I am still working on this, and still struggle with it some days. I try to remind myself that I am doing the best I can, and that is all that can be asked of me. I relate to how depression and stress always accumulate again, that is my current struggle with my current job, I try to care and just do my work so I can make enough money to pay my bills, but in the end it always gets back to a point of complete stress where I am having mental breakdowns at work and being miserable. Music is an outlet for me to decompress and recenter instead of a job, but in its place my passion is also art and video games. Recently I moved to japan and left everything and everyone I know to pursue my dream to make games here. And while I’m still on my journey of learning the language itself, it’s still been incredibly difficult to start again from nothing effectively. And I only have myself to rely on here as a result. I hope you too can live in the moment. Keep on keeping on. And thanks again.
